Adding shelf

(sorry for my english)
Hello,

We like our T 1950 and we take well care of it. For two persons it’s an ideal model.

We had a small problem with our clothing!

When we change in the evening there was no place to put our clothing for the following morning. We used the corner of the sofa!

Here how I fixed the problem.

I installed a shelf between the shirt wardrobe and the rear cabinet.

I used nylon clamps to fix it and plastic ends to protect the wood.

My wife now has a place for her handbag and we put shoes in the basket. This kind of shelf does not hide the light and is not very heavy.

I also installed a small shelf in top of the sofa, we use it to put the bread, the biscuits etc

It’s a model smaller than the one on top of the bed

Small additions to simplify our life.

Bonjour,

What a nice touch...when we owned our T1950 - we changed the (hanging) wardrobe closet to a closet with shelves....more practical since most of our clothes where folded.

Never thought to put a shelve in by the bed it would have made life simpler.

Thanks for the update.

Normad - I laughed at your other post about your "english"....one thing to know on this forum is that we all speak SUNLINE very fluently, no matter with what accent........

Anyway - what my DH did was to measure out (4) 1/2" x 1/2 wood (legs) to fit in the closet from top to bottom - we then drilled holes in 2" increments on all of the "legs" we put each one in a cornter of the closet and put the shelf pins in where we needed them - he also cut shelves to fit in (a little snugly) and just put them on top of the pins. Never had an issue with them - no drilling into the wood or anything - worked pretty good. when we sold the 1950 we removed the "guts" and actually gave them to Paul & Sheri who own a 1950 - I do think they are using them.

I'll have to search for some photos I think I may still have some.

Good luck with your mod......hey if you read in the modifications section on this forum....it will keep you busry for years

Adding Shelves

We also added shelves to our trailer today. Our problem is different than yours in that we are even more space limited.

Ginny wanted some additional shelves in our small trailer so I went to Walmarts and bought three small plastic trays, two shown in the picture below. I mounted each with two stainless steel screws directly to the wall. The containers are about 2x10 inches.

Little containers are handy to help provide organization in a small space. By the way these containers were $1.14 for all three and come in different sizes. I think they are called MainLine. We use others like this as draw organizers.

Note the two electric tooth brushes mounted to the wall below the white shelf. The bottom of the brush sits on the sink and the top snaps into the cap for the brush. I simply drilled a whole in the cap and screwed it to the wall at the appropriate height.

The picture is a little deceiving because the one not below the mirror is reflected in the mirror and looks twice as long. The curtain in the right side of the picture is our new shower curtain for the shower I added to our small trailer.

Hi Kathy

We can't see your pics. And you know us Wanna See Pic types…….

You accidentally added extra IMG commands and you picked HTML code, the wrong posting code off of photo bucket. And oddly enough they show up in the preview but not here out on the open forum.

This is what yours looks like to us. I had to put it in quotes and … so it will not post and you can see what we see.

“..[/img][img]..”

Next time just cut and paste in the IMG code from photo bucket, The bottom code, and do not add any other commands. Photo bucket adds the codes for us from that box already and puts the img starting command and the /img ending command. That was a new feature they added some time ago.

To help this along, here are the photo numbers you showed us. I put them in the IMG format copy and paste method. No other commands.

Yes I understand the design, this modification will be my first project in spring, because at present my Sunny passes the winter in the backyard of a friend

Thank you.
Normand

P.S.: For the reading, I read all the post almost everyday.
