Mary and I reserved Site 65 for the M&G.
We decided to change sites from Site 90 because Site 65 provides more room behind the side if we want to setup some tents to gather there.

Pot Luck Dinner Question

Since we can reserve a Pavilion at no charge on Friday (I believe that's still the case but I haven't confirmed it)

I was wondering what everyone's feeling is about having the Pot-Luck-Dinner on Friday?

Another option could be having Pot-Luck-Dinner on Friday in the Pavilion and then another Pot-Luck-Dinner Left Overs on Saturday - meet and gather behind Site 65 (our site). So we don't leave out anyone arriving on Friday.

Let us know what your thoughts and opinions are.
Thanks

So far it looks like everyone is arriving Thursday, except Frank who I’m sure could be talked into arriving in time for a Friday pot luck. Now, we don’t know how many more folks will jump on the band wagon between now and July. You could plan the pavilion pot luck for Friday, and see how it works out. But if that’s the plan you probably want to announce that soon, so that people making reservations can plan accordingly.

Yes, Pot luck on Friday sounds good. Either another pot luck or perhaps dessert/snacks/drinks around campfire early Sat evening would be good. Then you wouldn't have to have full table set up at your site.

I like the idea of dessert on Saturday.

That sounds like a good compromise. Pot luck Friday when we can get a free pavilion and desserts Saturday at your campsite.

I like that too ! That way if others do sign up and come in on Saturday afternoon they won't feel obligated to put together a cooked dish for pot luck, they can just bring some simple thing to add to desserts. (not that we don't always have plenty of food.. !!)

We will reserve on Saturday. Our site is not released yet.

FYI Rob just had a double bypass open heart surgery and is recuperating nicely. He should be back to normal by the end of March.

Thanks for the info - I've updated the OP.

Not surprising that it's filling up quickly. It's been getting harder and harder each year to get in there. If you want a specific site, you really need to reserve 6 months in advance and even then it's only a 50/50 chance you'll get it. Glad you'll able to get the site you want.
