So far, it looks like we'll have pleasant weather for the whole weekend. (Keeping our collective fingers crossed!)

Potluck Fixings

Good morning, everyone! Yahoo! Just three more days, and we'll be at the Meet & Greet! We'll be making Mixed Grilled Vegetables with Vidalia Onions and an Asian Noodle Salad for the Potluck.

I have yet another question ... there are a number of posts here about filling water tanks at the campground. Are you not worrying about freezing or do you have ways of managing around it?

Thanks.

Louise and Paul.

Hi Louise and Paul

There should be no problem with freezing, particularly if the long range forecast is correct. It's not supposed to drop below freezing any of the nights. So no worries.

See you there.

Sounds great! And our menu is now complete (see next post.)

Not worried at all about freezing the tanks. Several reasons. First, it takes a sustained hard freeze to cause any tanks on the outside of the TT to begin to freeze up. The minimal amount of radiated heat from the TT itself is more than enough prevent any freezing if we get just an overnight frost.

Second, the current weather forecast for the area is calling for nothing colder than low 40's overnight for the entire time we're there. Days are predicted to be partly to mostly sunny with highs in the low 70's. Sunday brings a 30% chance of rain with highs in the upper 60's. In all, it sounds to me like a perfect fall weekend in the Adirondacks.

The fall foliage report says that leaf turn hasn't started where we're going to be: Foliage Report BUT the webcams on McCauley Mountain (next door to the campground) tell a different story: McCauley Mt.

See you all in just a few days!

You good folks have a great time this weekend. We will miss you.

The dinner sure looks good and yummy.

Maybe next year we can figure out how to make a week trip up that way and join ya. That is one beautiful area. And we can stop down and see mom in the lower Hudson valley while we are there.

Every one travel safe and take lots of pics. The video from last year was really cool.

canoe2 reminded me earlier today that several of us posted Sunline signs at our campsites based on a file I created last year and that maybe others might want to do the same this year. Here's the file:

Sign

It's a MS Word file all setup to be printed on 8.5x11 paper. Just load it, change the wording to suit, and then print it out. Modify it as you like.

(Doug: I found that the copy on the web was a read-only file - you could have saved it by just naming it something else. I did fix that and it's now just a plain file. Sorry.)

After an unforeseen problem, we will be bringing potato salad and not chicken & dumpling soup. See everyone tomorrow.
