Hi Hiller

Actually the campground and Mexico is north of Harrisburg.

Here’s a route you may want to consider:

Take I-81 North to US22/US322 West (I think it’s Exit 67B on I-81)
Take US22/US322 West to Route 75 / Port Royal Exit
Rt. 75 South for <1 mile.
At flashing red light, turn left to Mexico,
Go ½ mile, take 1st right after Mexico Market,
follow signs to Campground

Hope this helps.
Hutch

I think I'd steer clear of Carlise, especially if there is a car show of some sort that weekend.

Another option coming up I-81 N. would be to get off at the Chambersburg Exit 16 (RT-30). Take 30 W. to Fort Loudon (about 40 min.) At Fort Loudon take 75 N. to just above Port Royal (about 1 hr. 10 min.). Hang a right at the 4-way stop (blinking light) to Mexico. Follow rest of Hutch's directions.

If coming E or W from the Pa Turnpike, get off at the Willow Hill interchange for RT-75 and head N.

75 is a nice 2 lane scenic drive if you are not in a big hurry; just watch for the Amish in their buggys or riding their bikes.

Did we get a written or email confirmation from Buttonwood? I'm usually pretty organized and I don't have anything.

Pam,

I never got one.

When I call and reserved, they didn't even take a deposit, and I offered one.

Hopefully they have sites for all of us .

Jon (aka Sunline Fan) told me that when they called to reserve a site that Buttonwood told them they were looking to put us on Sites 83 - 65. Not sure if that's changed now that there's more of us.

I guess we'll find out in a week

We got a confirmation in the mail. It came in an envelope and has a small slip of paper in it that says BUTTONWOOD CAMPGROUND- CONFIRMATION. It shows our arrival and departure date, along with some other things. Our site number (54) was hand written on the sheet (probably just per the phone conversation). "Card on Hold" is circled for deposit with a 0.00 next to it.

Maybe we got one because we're staying there for a longer period of time.

We're on 65...next to Marshall and Sue, behind Hutch, and across the street from Sunline Fan. So far it looks like they did a good job of clustering us. If anyone else calls be sure to tell them you're with the Sunline group. It makes it easier to look up.

Can't go to the beach...

Hi All! Well, last minute change of plans! Doctor won't let my wife travel to N.C. for vacation. So... WE'LL BE THERE! Stopped in on our way back from a family wedding above State College and made reservations; we have Site #81. Appears to be a very nice campground and the hosts seem gracious and very friendly.

FYI 1: Our sites do not appear to have much shade, if that matters to anyone.

FYI 2: Very easy to drive by the road to Buttonwood ; Chrysler Dealer is before Mexico Mart on the right. Road (300'+/-) after Mexico Mart to Buttonwood Y's off to the right, but at the time was obstructed by brush. There is a sign with an arrow though. Road is narrow through the neighborhood.

Due to work, probably will not roll in until around 9 pm or so Friday night. Looking forward to meeting everyone and to putting faces with names and rigs! Everybody have a safe trip!

Just for all of you to know, Cindy sat talking on the phone with the owner for about a half hour. She said that she is soo interested in us all coming there because back in the 80's her and a few others started a group called the "Sunliners" (??I think that was the name??). This was before the internet, so she said they couldnt figure out how to make it take off and after a few years of pushing it, they gave up.

I'm not sure who or why this campground was picked, but she is more geeked then any of us can be because she wants to know how we all stay in touch?!! Just a little side note that we thought was a funny coincedence.

Cant wait to see everyone and I hope we dont spoil anyones ideas of how we look or act. Just so you know, I'm really short, fat and bald We also tend to drink too much and stay up late partying with our fellow campers, so if you're not into that, then let us know right from the start so we can be asked to parked away from everyone else.

The Cholocat wrestling intrigues me very much!!

Pat & Cindy

Short, fat, and bald works as a description of me too. Better than big, dumb, and ugly. DW is nervous because I told everyone she would be the one with the football helmet on. You would think she would be used to me by now.
I have no problem partying; it's just at my age it's the "all night" I have a problem with. If I fall asleep just "prop me up by the juke box".

Depends who I'm wrestling with If its going to be a bunch of dudes in there, then I'll prbably just observe and take pictures, but the last time I saw a bunch of ladies wrestling in the kiddy pool filled with Jell-o I couldnt jump in fast enough...LOL

All kidding aside, I'm game for just about anything. If we all just want to sit up and swap stories or if we have a full day of games planned, it's all good for me.

I just cant wait to get there. We had planned on leaving on Wednesday and taking our time getting there, but just had a good friend pass away this weekend and the funeral isnt till Thursday. So now we'll be leaving Thursday night and arriving early Friday afternoon.

I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone.

Pat
