Some Random Rig Shots that you Might Enjoy

So the last few weeks have been a whirlwind of moving non-stop to get out West to Yellowstone. We left Louisiana in the beginning of the month with 90 degree heat and just yesterday crossed an 11,000' peak that had snow piled higher than the coach!!

While crossing the Plains of Colorado, we pulled over when the winds were so strong they were blowing the 2499 around like a toy. The radio never said so, but I think we were probably in the front of a tornado because of how crazy the clouds looked.

While standing outside watching the storm pass, I was able to snap this picture that I thought was pretty cool. See the Lightening right to the right of the telephone pole?!?

Snow can remain for a long time. On our trip to Labrador last spring in mid June the snow in spots was taller than the rig, and this was at sea level.

The last 7 years, despite the media hype, have been getting cooler. I noticed yesterday that northern NY had one of their latest frost warnings ever and that the May temperatures in central Canada were 16 degreesF below normal. Yikes.

Of course, snow on the sides of the road adds to the beauty.

As usual, you have posted wonderful photos. I'm sure I am not alone in saying that you make me envious of your travels. Please keep posting your wonderful photos & adventures. I can only imagine what your Yellowstone photos will be like.

I really wish Sunline still existed so they could see what their wonderful units are capable of doing/handling.

Hopefully/maybe there are some Sunline employees that have found this site and read about how much we appreciate & love our Sunlines.

Not to hijack the tread but here in the Adirondacks - we had a freak snow shower yesterday - temps were around mid-50's, COLD winds where at 20+ mph and it was snowing !!!!!! Didn't last long but it sure was odd!
Actually started a fire in the wood stove to take the chill out of the house.

By the way Pat the photos are wonderful....ithey remind me of the times we traveled across country with the girls MANY MOON ago!

Glad we can share our photos with fellow travelers! Using the Sunline as our Rolling Photo Lab, it sure does make life easy for the Traveling Photographer.

I agree Kitty, I wish Sunline was still around to reap the benefits of our photos. I know it would help persuade someone who was looking for a well-built camper to know how well ours has held up to the constant abuse we give it.

We had to cross a stream in Arkansas a few weeks back that had the Cheek Clenching factor as high as it comes. It's probably the one time I thought we were going to lose the coach as the water was up to the bottom of my door sills of the truck

Luckily, we made it across and got a good under carriage cleaning on both the truck and camper and we're still rolling along.

I think Eman reported a while back that they had those mesh sun screens installed to help keep the interior of the rig cooler, a very good idea since they spend so much time out west.

Right you are Kitty.

We had these window covers made before we went down into Baja for two months hoping to keep the sun and heat out of the inside of the coach.

They work amazing and we just leave them on while we drive because they block out so much of the heat and UV Rays.

We were originally pricing out Awnings, but the window covers were half the price of one awnings and best part is, you can see out of them when they're on. It also blocks people from seeing inside during the daytime.

We've since taken them off since getting into Yellowstone. Being as there is still snow on the ground and the forecast is calling for snow flurries this weekend

Right now we need as much heat coming in the windows as possible.

We have a set as well for our motorhome. My wife calls them spy shades because during the day she can see out and people can't see in.

They come in different densities and are effective at keeping the sun out.
