SOB checking in

thought I’d stop in and say Howdy. I still lurk around here because I got so much good advice on technical problems when I was rehabbing my Sunline.
We are happy with our Rockwood and have traveled each month since taking delivery in May. The “fit and finish” was better than we anticipated and Rocky’s road manners rival my old Sunline.

Penny is enjoying the extra room the LR slide gives us, and the bedroom wardrobe slide means weeks’ worth of outfits can be accommodated. There’s so much storage we still have a few empty cabinets. Love my power stabilizers and awning. Rocky came with a WH bypass, antifreeze pick up and a black tank flush.

It has all-LED lighting including a rope light built into the awning.

We have added two kittens to our family and they are camping with us.

They discovered the drawer under the sofa where Penny keeps her yoga mat and disappear into it for naps.

Here are a few more pictures of the camping kittens Fitz (the orange male) and his litter mate sister Lizzie.

Fitz is an avid birdwatcher.

I'm still lurking and hope to see some of y'all soon.

Penny looks real "fired up" about the Rockwood in that first picture. Thanks for the pictures of the SOB and the cute kittens.

You know SOBs are always welcome here to post as well as lurk.

Our "Buster" has a harness like your Fitz - albeit a bit bigger. Thanks for checking in.

Lots of us SOBs now. Glad you're both enjoying the extra space. Not many manufacturers are putting in a front window any more. Nice that you have one

Very nice camper!

It really is a shame that Sunline went out of business.

We went SOB as well because we wanted something with a motor in it....

Yeah, too bad it doesn't open. I talked to a Rockwood rep at the Richmond RV show about that. He said they're made solid to prevent leaks. I told him I was playing my bullsh!t card on that one. It was a cost saver. He smiled and said, "Well, that's my story ..."
After the unit is out of warranty, I plan to investigate replacing the window with one that opens (preferably jalousie).

Here's another picture - breakfast in Ohio the morning after delivery.

you camp with cats?!? I would LOVE to take my kitty camping! How did the kittens handle the travel? Did they ride in the TT or the tow vehicle? (I used to camp with 2 dogs- one rode ON MY LAP in truck, other slept in the bedroom of the TT.) I'm jealous- would LOVE it if my kitty went camping!

*apologies for getting thread off track*

Our camper (or the van) is just not allowed to leave without our Mittzi--she loves the whole experience..but no harness..just collar and leash.
Sorry..I hijacked the thread also-couldn't resist! Janalee

Hello Ahkhira - we travel with the kittens (now rapidly turning into cats) crated in the back seat of the pick up's cab.

They sleep for hours at a time. We're used to stopping every two hours to stretch old bones, and when we do, Penny takes the crated cats into the trailer to their litter box and water bowl. The litter box rides in the shower stall. They pee and reload at the water bowl, then off we go again.
We bring a few kitty toys and added a scratching pad to the end of the dinette booth. They're on harnesses so whenever they go out, they're tethered. Fitz and Lizzie run all over the trailer, hide everywhere, sit at the windows, curl up next to us at night.

We just bought a cage/kennel for outside. It has a roof. We're road testing it on our next trip.

Will post more pix,
Teach
