Santa was soooo good!

Hi everybody,
I am assuming you all survived yesterday with all the hustle & bustle, turkey & stuffing, etc.

Santa was SO good to us. We got a NOAA radio + handheld, a GPS, 3 good books: The Next Exit, Boondock RVing, Florida RV Camping. We are all set now, so where the heck is the sun???

9 more days til we leave...

So much for our fancy GPS. We tried it out today to make sure it worked. We had somewhere to drive, so programmed the unit. It lasted for about 20 mins til we stopped for gas, then it shut down and never started again.

We stopped in at Cdn. Tire where our dtr purchased it, and did we get lucky! She had picked it up while on sale for $120, and we exchanged it for a $400 Magellan, with 5" screen. MUCH better. Helps to know the boss tho', lol.

I'm sure we could find our way without a GPS, but seriously, we've become so used to the luxuries of just punching in the address and not having to keep the nose in the map.

I think its a MUST HAVE for traveling these days. Sure does allow you to keep your head up looking at the scenery.

As for Santa, we got 6 palm trees, 10 tropical grasses, a few dozen various flowers and a bunch of stuff to work in the yard......YEAH!!! Something we havent done in years.

My finger tips are literally raw from all the yard work we've done in the past few days....but I love every second of it

Glad to hear you had a Great Christmas!!
