Replace Roof!

Does anyone have an idea of what the cost would be to replace a TT roof (approx. 31' x 8.9') on our Rubicon - which does have a walk on roof with plywood (?) under the rubber????

We had a mishap coming out of a dump station area and tore a HUGE hole in our roof.....

Thanks
Kathy

Kathy,

Sorry to hear about your mishap.

Not knowing how huge the huge rip is, it may be able to repaired and still be a sound permanent repair. If you have some pics to show, or email, can look at it and make a judgement call.

To your first question, this post may help with cost but this included some new wood and only I think it was 8 to 10 feet worth.

The biggest cost difference is finding a place to do it. The labor rates will be different and this is the biggest cost difference. A good independent guy verses a large dealership may be a lower cost option.

Someone else just had a new roof put on approx. a year or so ago. I can't seem to locate that post right now.

Good luck

John

Thanks John - I've called Roger and left a message on his machine - waiting for a response......I'm 99.9% sure we want him to do the repair - so I just need to get a "ball park" price and set up an appointment for next June!

It cost us about $7500 for a total tear-off on our 2363. They put down plywood decking so we can walk on it now...not that we ever do. One of the interior ceiling panels had to be replaced as well. I think we were overcharged for the quality of workmanship we received. The roof itself looks okay but the interior work could have been done by a middle school kid just as well as the so-called professional did. We have gel coat sidewalls and along the front it looks wavy. So don't go to Peco Campers in Tucker, Ga for any sort of repair work if you're looking for quality workmanship.

Thanks pamwinn, Ga is a little too far for us to travel or a roof repair.

We did receive an insurance check for $5800.00 less our deducible -o we shall see what happens come spring time when we get the work done!

That's a good thing. Although Peco campers has (except for the one I added yesterday) good reviews, they did a very poor job on my camper. Insurance covered mine but it certainly isn't even slightly close to good as new. I hope you have much better luck than I did.
