Question Potential Owner Question.

Hello Everyone,
I am looking at buying a new to me Sunline Solaris 2980. I didn't realize that Sunline had gone out of business. That doesn't scare me to much, but I was curious if any of you would be able to give me an idea of how difficult it is to get parts or service now that they don't exist any longer. Thanks in advance for your responses.

Very, very, little is Sunline specific. The appliances are mostly all still available and parts and service are pretty much available.

I am on my third Sunline (all upgrades) and have never had a problem getting parts or service. Most parts are made by outside vendors and were installed by Sunline. You will find the same items in almost all brands of rvs.

Thanks for the informations folks. Looks like I'll be going to take a look in person this weekend and see how it pans out.

Smile

A few things that I believe are Sunline specific:
Aluminum siding (Krystal Kote)
Striping and logo decals
Fender trim

I can't think of anything inside the camper that doesn't use generic materials, although somethings will be obsolete like wall paneling, fabrics, carpet, flooring etc.

All of these items can be worked around if need be. We just bought a gently used 2007 2499 and have no concerns about maintenance. Although I do have concerns about siding damage.

Happy hunting and do check for signs of water intrusion. (Hint: start with your nose)
