Pink Spots on the Camper?

The DW noticed some pink spots forming on the exterior molding on the top of the slide room, just under the awning topper.

Has any one experienced/seen this?
Do you know what may be causing it and how to remove them?
Awsome didn't work.

Here are some pictures:

Thanks in advance for you responses.

It looks like those spots are confined to the plastic screw cover. I would investigate further by pulling the plastic out of the channel and looking inside. Maybe there is something inside that is leaking out? Have you tried to remove it the spots? If it's oil based, mineral spirits should take it off. If water based, then a spray on cleaner should work.

I think I remember having one of those spots on a previous coach. It wasn't too noticeable, so I didn't do anything with it. My guess is it is on the inside, so you may want to pull it off and try cleaning the back side of it. I doubt that something is leaking from inside, but I wouldn't rule it out. If that doesn't work, you can always go pick up a roll of the new screw cover and pop it into place.

I have the same pink on the screw covers on my coach. The pink on mine covers a larger area, but is confined to only several places. I did clean all of the screw covers because they were mildew covered. I used Mr.Clean Magic Erasers to do it. They removed all of the mildew and lightened the pink areas. I think that if I do the pink areas again that they will dissapear.
