we love camping at the COE parks .. they are the best and almost all the sites are water sites since my hubby loves bank fishing this is great for us . and cannot beat the price . most of the Corp parks here in ala and ga or approx 20 to 22 a nite and we get half price with our golden access card .. and this means we get to camp twice as long at this price , cant beat it and the COE parks here are very well kept up and we love them so much more than the State Parks...
we are planning a camping trip leaving on Monday the 15th and i will take some more pics to post / we will be going to White Oak camp ground and it is also on Lake Eufaula and a beautiful park . i just hope the spring breakers dont take all the good sites ....

I third the itch.... The peepers are singing there hearts out tonight. The rain for tonight and Saturday have mucked up our 1st of the year camping plan. Have lighting going on right now and 1” of rain predicted…. However better then a foot of snow…..

Neat pics Wanda. Thanks for sharing

oh i know this has been the wettest and coldest winter here in Alabama as far back as i can remember .. we usually camp all year but not this year . but we do have plans to camp next week that is if the spring breakers dont crowd us out . plan to leave on monday and we usually stay for 10 to 14 days at a time then come home for a week or so and head out again . I am so ready to go . i go out to my camper every day or so and just visit .. lol

We've camped once several years ago at Lakepoint Resort State Park, which is also on Lake Eufaula. This state park has a BIG campground, 245 sites, some with full hookups.

The lake is BEAUTIFUL. A great place to camp.

I seem to recall more than one COE campground on Eufaula... how many are there?

hi Dave and Cindy , yes Lakepoint resort is a nice campground We have stayed there before but as i said we love the water sites and not as many good bank fishing water sites there as on the COE parks .
there are three COE parks on lake eufaula .
Cotton Hill which is a nice camp ground just past Ft Gaines Ga , then there is HardRidge Creek (our Favorite) which is closed for a few months for renovations and upgrading and then White Oak (our next favorite ) and i think Cotton Hill is closed right now for renovations also so that only leaves White Oak and Lake Point right now . and we also love White Tail Ridge on west point lake in LaGrange GA and then there is R Sheafer Heard in West Point ga also on west point lake and then there is Holiday campground also in LaGrange Ga . so we have plenty of corp parks to camp around here and not have to spend a lot of time traveling to find a great camp site .. we bought us a CoE camping book from the Resourse Managers office that list all the corp campgrounds and we have stayed at many of them and they are all nice .
Happy Camping
