Original OEM Reefer door holder, to hold the door open and latch it at the same time. I never got a set with my coach, and when I asked at the local dealer, I was told they rarely make it to the dealer let alone passed on to the customer

I was wondering thru "SOBs" today while the dealer was swapping out our tires,. That is where I saw this one, and Gary told me what it was used for. To be honest, it "might" work as intended when rig is parked stationary, but I wouldn't want to forget it and head down the road (Unless I made sure the door was actually closed)

They do work good. We have them for the fridge and freezer.

Ted, they probably wouldn't work on yours, they are designed for the newer style latches.

Oh how I love the Google image search...

The tab clips over the latch piece and then the long plastic part goes back and hits against the door seal area. The slit in the blue plastic hooks on the "burr" on the frame of the refrigerator where the door latch normally hooks on.

There are aftermarket accessories that prop the doors open, but not all will latch the door too so that you could like travel to a storage place with the doors held open so it dries out while in storage.

I'm actually glad I did that quick search because I wasn't exactly sure how they worked. When I worked at the local dealer, we had a take-out unit for sale at one point and it had them inside. That's what prompted me to ask what they were, and that I couldn't even order any.

Wow, am I ever going to make a fool of myself.

After writing that post, I got to thinking about where I found those pictures, which happened to be on a Rockwood owner's forum. One of the people said they found theirs in the paperwork. So I thought, well it's not like I've ever gone through my owner's book besides first couple pages of Sunline stuff, I wonder if they're in the envelope with the reefer manuals. Sure enough, I go get the bag out with the binder in it, get to the Dometic envelope, and sure enough I feel something hard there. I pull the envelope out and tip it upside down and sure enough these things fall out. When I saw that take out unit, I think they were taped to the inside or something, so I figured I would have seen them in mine and I hadn't.

It's like Christmas all over again!

BTW, I did read on the Rockwood forum that someone used to have a 2002 and it didn't come with them, so it would only be a 2003 or newer thing. I'd be curious to narrow it down even more.

Well it may not be a 2004 feature. I have 2 Sunline manuals with the Dometic packet and they are not in them.

We got them with our 2007 1950 and use them to keep air circulating when the TT is not being used.
