Question need advice re: hanging clothes

This may sound totally crazy. but there must be someway to hang clothes in the closet so that they dont fall down when your on the road.? I have tried crimping the hangers but that doesnt work either. is there a special hanger to buy? thanks for any suggestions.

Put a spring rod across the top of the hangers.

A search for Texas returned 33 results though many have never posted to the forums. (I was surprised to find that many.) There may be more who didn't state their location. Also, not all members own Sunlines.

The members List will show User Name, SUN #, Join Date, # of Posts, Avatar, City, State/Province, Model Year and RV Model if a member has supplied that info.

To search specific fields:
  • click "Community" in white bar below tabs then in dropdown box click "Members List".
  • when list comes up click "Search Members" in upper right corner then click "Advanced Search"
  • when the search form loads, type info into the boxes for the fields you want to search
  • scroll down and click "Search Now"

We have a hanging shirt closet on each side of the bed. My wife's closet seems to stay intact, mine at the very rear wants to shed the hangers. I now take the pillow and stuff it upright next to the hanging stuff and that works for me. It seems to keep the stuff from bouncing.

hmm, I haven't heard of this problem before. I rarely get to hang anything in those closets back there though, so I guess that's why I've never experienced it. Or I never have paid attention to hangers falling...

I use tubular plastic hangers (don't own any wire ones) and never have trouble with them falling out of the triangles. Sometimes I have trouble getting them in!

The plastic hangers stay in alot better than the wire. We put the spring rod in front as well. The problem only happens if you're traveling on bumpy back roads.

You could always check with a hotel near and see if they have some anti-thef hangers and ring they are updating because they maybe little tarnish or whatever that they are pristine and perfect. They look like the one in the link (I am sending the link only as a reference; buy them is expensive only 5 for over $50!). But they work well for not all the swinging and not falling. As an extra measure you could just as get adhesive velcro strip from an art n craft store any other place that sell them by the roll. attach the adhesive backing to the rod, put the hangers with a 1-2 in spacing and put the velcro over them to help hold your hangers in place too.

Anti-Theft B-Ring , Hotel Anti-Theft Hangers

thanks everyone for the tips - i will try them all. i have a mile of private road (very bumpy) from our house just to get to a county blacktop (still very bumpy). (probably just on my drive it all falls off!) every single item i hang is in the bottom of the closet when we get where we are going. we have only made 4 trips, but on the last one i just laid all the hanging stuff on the bed instead of hanging them! LOL
