My new T1950

I purchased a new Sunline at the Camper Show in Hershey a few weeeks ago. I was going to go camping around Novermber but i decided to winterize it and wait till next spring. One question.... To cover or not to cover the camper? I've heard pro's and con's any insight?

We got a new Sunline too. Just took delivery this week. I won't be covering it because of my past success in leaving our old Motorhome uncovered for nearly 20 New England winters. My original selling dealer had told us that we should not cover it, but instead leave a couple windows cracked open to prevent mildew and just give it a good bath come spring. So even though it would be nice to have a shelter for this new trailer I don't have that luxury so outside and uncovered is my way. That's not to say that a quality cover might not be a very good system too. Just referring to my own experiences. Hope that helps. Welcome to the forum too!

You'll hear arguments both ways on this. Having a lot of experience covering boats, my own opinion is to leave the unit uncovered. As long as you reliably maintain the exterior it will last as long as you want it to, even if left exposed to the elements. It's amazing how much surface damage a flapping cover can produce and condensation can be a serious problem if you're not careful. Add to all this the trouble of maintaining the cover itself.

Hope this helps.
