model number question

Does anyone know, just by looking at these pics which model I own? I dont have a close pic and my camper is in storage, along with the binder. Just picked this up last season and cannot wait to mode it. My plan is to make it close to what a new trailer my look.

I'll take a stab at it.

The colors and graphics suggest it is a 1994 Saturn series. The front rock guard decal points to a 1994 more then the 1995 Solaris series. But, we have no rear wall pic or ideally a front wall pic straight on to tell. And I cannot read the decal on the front right side to see if it says Saturn or Solaris. The floor plan I'm going to declare below flipped from a Saturn in 94 to a Solaris in 95.

I'm going to go with a 1994 Saturn unless we can get a pic of the back and front, the floor plan points to a model T-2160 with the right rear double bunk bed and it has a rear wall window that I can't see. BUT... in 94, they offered a Saturn T-2161 rear bunks option in place of the double bed and "no" rear wall window. Since I cannot see the rear wall to tell if there is a window or not, I can't tell T-2160 or T2161.

You also appear to have an optional bathroom window. This was not standard I don't think in this time era, but could be added.

In 1994, they also had a front option of a half dinette bench seat with a lounge OR a swivel rocker chair in place of the half bench seat and then a couch along the front wall.

And in 1995, the T-2160 had no rear bunk bed option for a T-2161 as it did in 94, Again need to know what the rear wall looks like or the inside.

See our files section for brochures of the floor plans. You need to be logged in, see here for the FILES tab at the top of the forum.

Then go to brochures and scroll to 1994 or 1995 and download a PDF. Since you know the inside, you tell us if which you have, rear bunks or rear double bed and then the dinette half bench or chair option up front. And does it say Saturn (94) or Solaris (95) on the side.

Sunline Fan is our guru of sorting out the tiny details in older year/model changes to back into the year/model. I'm sure he will pop in sometime in the near future to confirm or show me where I missed it.

It looks to be in good shape from the outside and the 2 pics.

Have fun with your Sunny!

John

Thanks again John. I wish I had taken more pictures and I kid you not, even my wife was surprised because I like taking pictures. And of course the trailer is stored at an uncle's buried in snow under a tarp....was thinking of going over to check on it soon.

All I can say about the floor plan from memory is that the trailer has a built in bench at the front which is part of the dinette and has a built in bench on the other side of the dinette next to the door. The 'bedroom' in the rear has what I think is supposed to be a double bed but I think the previous owners replaced it with a queen ...which is a good size but too bulky for the space ( I think I may purchase a new mattress built for campers.) There is a long window in the rear over the bed for the escape window.

The owner is the one who told me that it was Solaris but is it? Also wish I had taken a picture of the number on the side.

I promise to get pictures

Welcome Chappy! It looks like a typical 1995 Solaris T-2160 to me, with the standard front floorplan "A". Decals and exterior look standard for 1995.

It is indeed a Solaris- the Saturn name was temporarily dropped for 1995 and all those models became Solaris'. However, they didn't gain more of the Solaris features until the following year, a big one being the radius corner windows.

I've attached a few pictures of another '95 T-2160, except with the option front B that had a chair and fold down table in place of the dinette.

Thanks that is definitely her. I am kind of wishing that she did have the B floor plan with the couch and chair option over the dinette. Might have to find a good sofa bed that’ll fit
