Memorial Day camping.

Tomorrow we are packing up and heading down to Hickory Hill in Bath NY.
We're going to meet up with some friends we've made down there. This is our first outing of the season.

Everyone have a safe Memorial day weekend.

Have a safe & wonderful weekend. I am heading to a fairly local city run park, Brunswick, MD. My best friend George & I go there quite a bit. I got Sunny & the blue beast washed this afternoon, I even rinsed off the roof as it was covered with pollen. Discovered a birds nest in the hinged propane cover with 5 eggs in it. I carefully picked up the nest, transferred it to a cardboard box sitting on a ladder directly in front of the propane tanks. I'm hoping the mommy bird will still tend to it. This same thing happened last year, but I didn't discover the nest until I was at the campground and it was too late then. Boy, did I feel like a real creep.

Everyone have a safe wonderful weekend, and say a prayer for our families serving our country.

Kitty

Yup, we are heading out Friday for a 4 night adventure. A whopping 20 miles from home.... Delaware State Park. Last weekend we did the 600 mile trip so this one needs to be short....

Son bringing his new to him 97 Coleman PU for the 1st time in a camp ground to camp with us. All though he did camp out in our driveway with it to make sure everything worked if that counts.

Safe travels to all and have a good holiday.

We didn't get to camp this weekend. "Stinky" is getting his wheel bearings cleaned and greased. We need a different, lower hitch thingie to pull him with to get him level.... and we're expecting more rain this weekend. We both have Dr's appointments this week so probably wont get to camp until next weekend. Here it is, almost the end of May, and we've only camped one time.

Leo & I left on Thursday for a long weekend with 500 of our closest friends....it is an annual camp out with friends dating back 30+ year.....what a blast!

We leave to come home on Sunday even though everyone else stays until Monday. We come home to march in our Memorial Day parade - to honor all those who serve our country so we can do what we like to do!!!! God bless each and everyone of them!

Hope everyone has a safe traveling weekend!

I am in Brunswick, MD at their city run campground. Water & electric site, with a dump station. Small Boat ramp access to the Potomac River, just down stream from Harpers Ferry. George is here with his Sunline, but during the day on weekends/holidays he drives a shuttle bus for Harpers Ferry Nat. Park. I got a few more things accomplished this weekend. Today, I really cleaned the interior of the truck. Have to head home tomorrow.

9 more days hauling kids, then 2 days clean up & turning in of buses, then I'll be free, free, did I mention I'd be FREE

When I get home, I have to start getting ready to head o Mexico

Everyone travel safe and say a prayer for our military personnel, I'm flying 3 American flags.

Kitty

Got back today from our staple, RB Winter State Park about 45 minutes east of State College, PA in our new SR 195. Got many compliments on her. She's working like a champ. Beautiful weekend, a drop or two on occasion, Big family get together yesterday for my Dad's 85th birthday. And just as everyone left, our friend the PA black bear showed himself for a stroll through the woods.

Hope everybody out there had a great Memorial Day weekend. Sad to tear down today, but said to my wife.........next stop MEXICO, PA!!!!!!!!

We just returned from Mexico PA. ,campground was packed but one of the quietest campgrounds that We have ever been to,for the most part the weather was great except for a sprinkle saturday and a thunderstorm sunday night. Our neighboor site R93 was the nephew(and campground helper) of the owners, he was very nice and would have done anything for you.Sunday we took a conoe trip down the river, kids enjoyed that alot. Our trip seemed be starting as a disaster on thursday when I went to pre cool the fridge and found out I had no power to the fridge, luckily stoltzfus came through and had a new circuit board in stock.

Spent the long weekend at Wild Acres in Old Orchard Beach, ME, and aside from some close and noisy neighbors we had a great time. Odd weather though. Friday night we had a fan going due to the heat, Saturday night was in the 40's so the furnace was cranked up, and Sunday night was perfect in the upper 50's. You've gotta be prepared for any type of weather in the spring in Maine. We're heading out again this weekend and then we'll be getting ready for Buttonwood. Can't wait!

Cindy and I spent our last weekend of true Camping in Arkansas at the http://everymilesamemory.smugmug.com...ck Wagon Races. What a total riot! We had visited a few years ago on their first ever event just by stumbling across it.

They asked us to return this year as their Event Photographers and we're thinking it's going to be an annual destination for us we have so much fun each time. We missed it last year because we were on the West Coast and couldnt make it back in time

Arkansas is probably one of our favorite states we've visted so far, so this entire area is nothing but scenic eye candy.

View from under our Awning before the racers started arriving. We got there a day early to get track side camping so we could photograph right from under the awning

The field in front of us is where the oval grass track is the horses and Chuck Wagons race on

Couple of the local cowboys at the event

One night offered Bull Riding which was some of the best, most wildest actions we've ever seen in our lives!

Sounds like everyone else had a great time! Hope everyone made it home safe!!

We're now on our way to Yellowstone for the summer!

Seeing your out west pics does not help our longing to be out west camping..... but they sure are GREAT to see.

You two do some very special picture taking and we really appreaciate seeing them and the unique places along your travels.

John

PS Your hot link has an error in it

I think it is a space bar stuck in there and you forgot the = sign after the url

Thanks John, I always get confused with the links!

We got some photos yesterday of a crazy storm blowing over us that are out of this world. Being out West really makes camping and traveling so much more easier and enjoyable.

Take care
