Hey Marshall, I dont think she was looking out for the equipment...LOL
I've figured out a better way to get lucky. I pre-focus for the scene, then set the camera to manual focus and just hold it against my chest aiming towards the scene with my finger on the shutter.
You can usually see a slight flicker in the sky before it crashes out of the clouds, and once I see the flicker I start hitting the shutter button.
3 out of 10 times I might get the shot. Most of the time, I just delete a ton of the exact same images, but I've been pretty lucky with the last two storms that have passed over.
