The weather here in Central Ohio is suppose to be great too and we are heading out early afternoon for the weekend.

But this is "not" our last campout. We actually do not have a last campout of the year other then when we do a New Years eve campout...... Cool/cold weather camping in your Sunline can be fun. No bugs, no crowds and an entire state park just about to yourself...It's different, but it still beats waiting until spring.

Have a safe trip everyone. Oh and take Pic's. Looking forward to seeing some pics come early next week of Sunlines in action.

John

Well, any one camp last weekend? and any pics?

Here are some of ours. The weather was outstanding!!! Sunny, highs in the 80's, nights cool around 55. It was a great weekend. This is Indian Lake State Park in Lake View Ohio. This is the A loop. This is a big park.

Hope you enjoy

John

We considered a private site this weekend since the state parks in New York are closed for the season. Now it's supposed to rain Friday and some on Saturday. Cool days, cooler nights, rainy days. Next week's forecast is highs in the 40's. I'm afraid here in upstate New York we made our last trip a couple of weeks ago. Time to call it a season and tune up the snow blower.

Just got back from our last campout of the season. A blissful week in the lower to mid 70s in NW Illinois. No skeeters, great cookouts, wonderful neighbors. It was just great. Better than summer, actually. Fall is a good time to go camping.

We got back yesterday from a week camping at Rocky Gap State Park in Western Maryland. Always a favorite...plus love the mountains in the fall. The colors are really popping out there. The weather was perfect the first 5 days, then we had some rain the last couple..but nothing major.
On Tuesday evening David and I were setting by the fire...when we see a pretty Sunline drive by... with a Tweety Bird tire cover on the back.... We knew it was fellow Sunline owner's Pam & Steve! It was GREAT to have SOC members in the same campground. Almost like a mini meet and greet. * This also brings up a question, why don't we have another fall M&G in the Maryland area??? Idea's or suggestions? or Maybe another thread?*
All in all it was a wonderful trip. We can't wait until October 31st for another week out.

Dave & Mary - Didn't mean to ignore your suggestion of a fall meet and greet in MD. Just had a little trouble with the internet service in the lodge parking lot here at the park. I think you'd need to start a new discussion to guage interest. On a walk this morning we saw a family group site that would be ideal here at Rocky Gap State Park. It has a large open area, a cabin, a fire pit, and several water and electric hookup sites (don't know the cost or if nonfamily groups are allowed).

No problem! We know how service can be. We were thinking the same thing about the group camping spot near the back. The price is $ 221.75 per night and allow up to 8 campers, plus tents up to a max of 40 people. This includes the little cabin with electric.
We just love Rocky Gap. There isn't to many other campgrounds in the area that have as much privacy, that we could find that is.
Enjoy the rest of your trip!

~Mary Ann

We had a great weekend at Oak Creek, it was our first trip there, and we will definitely be returning.

Here's a picture of our arrival, as we were followed in by another Sunline. Ours is on the left (1999), the one on the right was a 1993.
