Interesting fuel development

There could be a new way: algae. The slimy green stuff that grows so fast and is filled with so much oil, it could be the silver bullet we've all been looking for to create an energy-independent future.

Good news, indeed. I believe that we're on the beginning of a road that will eventually lead this Country to becoming more energy efficient and hopefully independent. This will take time but every discovery like this is one more step closer to that goal.

Lode is an unknown quantity at this point
Send a message via AIM to Lode
And I've been spending all kinds of money on chlorine to kill the stuff and pump it into the yard for the last 3 days. I've been working on trying to get my mother in law's pool opened for the season.

Thanks for the heads up on the information... looking forward to watching this unfold.

Don't know how I'd talk my wife and her mom into letting me have a 30,000 gallon petri dish for my algae fuel while they sweat in the summer heat.

Take care,
Jason

Interesting - This will be one to watch with a plant opening scheduled in October.

Does that stuff run in Duramax diesels?

Another interesting development (to me) is that mines and oil fields abandoned last century due to "lack" of resources, can now be mined and drilled more easily with today's technology.

Here in PA, we actually have a town called Oil City with a great history from 1850...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oil_City,_Pennsylvania/.

I thought someday the same could happen to the coal mines in the Indiana county, Pennsylvania

Here is ANOTHER great story from the Midwest:
