Info needed please

We've both have just about had it with this hand flush noisy toilet in the Lance! Yes it works fine but it's VERY hard to pull the flush lever and is unbelievably loud. Steve will try to mod it when we get back from this trip, but we may just replace it. Can anyone tell me the make of the nice foot pedal flush toilet Sunline used around 2006?

Hi Pam,

The one we have in all 3 of our 2004 Sunlines is/was a Dometic Sealand brand and the series was a Traveler Lite model 110 with sprayer. This had the porcelain bowl and the sprayer.

I tried to find that one for sale and I cannot find the complete 110 toilet for sale most anywhere. They may have stopped making that exact model. Parts are still very available, just I cannot find buying the entire toilet.

I see a lot of reference to a Traveler 510 + and the 511+ on the web and in the parts catalog in our Sunline manual. This looks close but the china bowl is larger and maybe a little heavier. It is also slightly longer and sits a little higher. Sunline may have used the Lite versions to save a few pounds of weight.

Seems Dometic may have dropped the Sealand name as it does not even show up on their web site. \https://www.dometic.com/en-us/us/pro...tation/toilets There are 75 toilets to pick from....

But, I can find the Sealand brand for sale at PPL https://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/...and-toilet.htm

And even on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Dometic-30265...ds=sealand+510

You may have to hunt to find the hand sprayer option. A worthwhile hunt if you can get it with the toilet. Or you add a separate one in the water line as I have seen some folks do.

Hope this helps

John

Thanks John for the thorough reply. Will let you know if the current one can be made acceptable or if we end up replacing it.

Steve was able to loosen the spring on the flush handle of the current potty. The jury is still out on if you need to be a weight lifter to flush. We go out again soon so that'll let us know.

Well it still wasnt easy to flush. So, we went to Stoltzfus to measure toilets because there's a wall bump out behind where the toilet is mounted to the floor. None of the "better" toilets would mount without modifying that bump. So, we ordered the exact toilet Lance provided, but in the foot flush model. Seems silly but, I was actually getting a backache from that hand flusher!

Yes, I can imagine the hand flush being a bear after a while. Even our Sealand, if you were to hand flush the pedal, that gets old quick. The spring is pretty beefy and needs to be to hold the ball valve closed. Using your foot, the leverage is just plain easier.

Let us know how this goes.

John
