I'm jealous!

From the lack of posts over the weekend...I have to assume everyone is out camping!

Sure wish Leo and I were out doing the same this weekend!

I was, but I was on here too. I guess it's the best of both worlds! I agree, it was pretty dead over the weekend. I've noticed that the past few weekends, too.

I wasw here, but with my whole summer off, I am 'off my schedule' and have trouble getting to the computer on a regular basis. Now that the backyard is complete, nI should have more time. Of course, there is that upcoming garage sale...

We've been going camping every other weekend. Saturday it's off to Thousand Islands for the week of the 4th.

Where are you camping in 1000 Islands? We've always wanted to go there, we're so close, but never seem to make the time. One of these years we'll make it.

Have a good 4th.

I'm sure for those that use their camping experiences as a Vacation, going on the CPU is looked at like bringing work with you on the Vaca.

We had a camper tell us a few weeks back, mind you this was also while they were sitting out in a camp chair with a spray bottle to mist themselves and a cooler beside their chair in 90 degree heat! You guys arent camping, you've stayed in your A/C all day long.

We laughed and thought, "You're here for the weekend, and quite honestly sitting there very miserable, but still making the best of it" We live in our Sunline 24/7 so if you see us sitting inside the camper all day long in the A/C when it's extremly hot out, we're still enjoying ourselves, we just usually go out once the sun goes down.

If you want to stay connected while camping, bring the lap top and a Braodband Card. When we worked full time, the last thing I wanted was a cpu with me when we went on Vaca. So I completly understand why no one is online on the weekends.

If you're out there enjoying the Sunline, leave the cpu at home! That's what we have Jobs for isnt it So we can sit on our favorite forum and ask questions about our weekends problems.

Happy Camping
Pat & Cindy

PTHutch,

We're staying at 1000 Islands Campground, near Clayton. The campground is completely redone. We've always stayed at state parks when we tent camped, but going for a whole week with the coach,we wanted full hookups. Never been to this campground before, but like I said, everything is brand new and it's only $28 a night.

WOW - we are spending about $21.00 for a "bare bones, no nottin'" sit at Grass Point state cg in August!

We just might have to cruise into this place and check it out!\

Let us know how you liked it!

Jan and I were camping and were not here. We left Thursday afternoon after work and went to Platte CIty, Missouri, about a half hour north of KC. We stayed at Basswood RV park which is located under the flight paths of two runways at KCI. By Saturday night we were accustomed to the jets landing then very early in the morning they switched to taking off over the resort, much louder. It was an OK park for a short stay, or an overnight stop, but very small sites and the air traffic got old pretty quick. We just wanted a weekend "away from it all" and all worked out very well.
