I need parts

I just purchased my first TT and it's a 1986 Sunline T2261. I've read that the parts are standard on most trailers but I'm not seeing the exact parts I'm looking for. For example the small cargo doors on the back and side, where can I buy these? The plastic stripping that covers the screws on the outside corners. Also there is a little water damage on the inside. What is the best way to go about replacing a wall? Forgive me, I'm new at this.

Well, they are made in MANY different sizes, and I'm not sure how exactly they're measured, overall, frame opening, etc. I suspect frame opening (so you'd have to measure once you remove the door and frame). Due to the design of the trailer, you'll need to use only another square corner door vs. the new style radius corner doors. RV salvage and surplus places such as Bontrager's Surplus in White Pigeon, MI carries a lot of these. You may have to paint the skin to match your tan though because finding a tan one to match (that's in decent shape) would be REALLY tough. But they weren't exactly color matched, so as long as you get rid of the bright white, you're good.

RV Designer Heavy Duty Insert Colonial White Trim Molding 100 ft

You want the colonial white to match your exterior. Polar white would stand out like a sore thumb.

Well, replacing a wall is a MAJOR job. You basically have to cut all the screws that hold the cabinets on, remove them, likely remove the tin from the outside, tear off the inside wall panel, and replace what's necessary. You should be able to reuse everything except the inside wall panel, which you'll have to get a generic one to use. You won't be able to find the wallpaper to match now.

For some hard to find parts, bookmark:

Camping World has more parts than shown in their catalog if you call them.

PPL RV has a lot of hard to find parts. You can call them too and talk to real people.

Thanks

Thank you for all the tips. I will be sure to take advantage of all the advice. Our plan is to paint the outside white and apply new decals. My wife an I own a sign company so we may decide to just wrap the whole thing, not sure yet.
