I did it again!

Well, I dont know whether to be proud or embarrassed--but I couldn't resist..I bought Sunny # 10-a 1995 Solaris t1950.I have been looking for about 3 months for an older 1950 AND one found ME!! I had posted wanted ads on many sites and a guy from right near the old factory contacted me Sunday evening with this unit he had just decided to sell..he and his family were the original owners and ready for a newer rig. Went down on Tuesday and brought her home! Needs some exterior TLC but interior is excellent, all systems working, and NO LEAKS....I really love this trailer layout..had never been in this model but it was calling to me. I will surely be be spending some serious time in it next Spring..my new album is posted..JANALEE
P.S. I am in need of a couple of those little rubber tips for the legs on the stove grates and I honestly just tossed a brandnew package of them last Sat while looking thru old parts I had saved. Figured I wouldnt need them again..ha! Does anybody have some that could spare just TWO? My dealer is 40 miles away ;-(

Congratulations, Janalee! Looks like I'll need to find another buyer when the day comes to upgrade. Glad to hear you found one so quickly, relatively speaking.

Will this one fit the driveway? Looks so similar to the 2363. Great condition. Congrats on being found.

You couldnt possibly afford my price! Lol!
Have you looked in the wardrobe? They are usually stored there with a strap to secure it. I took mine out--its just me and my cat.

Good there is plenty of room. Might have you sitting closer to the traffic though.

Did good in hurricane. Had winds of 100MPH in our yard. Gusts were high enuff to lean the power pole next to the house and about 7 oak trees that need cutting down now. Still, we're grateful no house damage this time either. This makes 6 hurricanes we've been through now without more damage than one tab broken from a shingle. (knock on wood) This week power company will straighten the power pole but we're still dragging tree limbs to the street to clean yard. Now I know why so many yards have nothing but grass. All these nice florida plants are work to keep up.

Glad you found something nice. Going to drag it around some? Hope so. You know you want to.

I just noticed I had some damage to the TT. I had the power cord pulled out and plugged in during hurricane. Wind must have had cord slapping because cord is worn to metal in wires from vibrations. Also seen where the slapping cord must have hit break wires on rear axle. That and one vent cover is all damage to the TT. Not bad since wind hit it from the side and could have as easily flipped it.

That is a great looking camper....congratulations! I guess when they found a perfect floor plan, for its size, there was never any reason to change. It looks exactly like mine, for the most part. I am a little jealous though that you have that great window, in the front, as mine does not open But I am thankful anyway

I was at the Timonium RV show recently and still did not see one, in the size range of the t-1950, whose floor plan I liked better.

Have fun!
Karen

Jim and Bev--
WOW! and that was "did good" ? Haven't been in a FL hurricane since I was a little kid but I can still remember the shaking of the storm..scary situation. So glad the damage was only the yard but those old oaks are so easy to uproot without a huge storm--seems like they were in every FL park we went to..and then remember Shady Pines RV--WITHOUT the Pines!! Well, the rv can be repaired-you are good at that-get out and enjoy again! And no, I won't be towing again even though I really really want to...Janalee

Janalee, Hurricanes are still the same. lots of noise and vibrations for awhile and then when it stops it is very quiet.

The Shady Pines should have changed their name to No Pines, LOL! I haven't gone by there since this last hurricane, yet.

I pulled the ladder I store under the TT out and will not put it back. It was only used to fix clearance lights and since I replaced them with LEDs no problems that need the ladder.

I looked at the brake wiring and it seems the wires only hang loose instead of being broken. Now need to connect them I guess to the axle so not dragging. I really do wish the axles had been flipped. My big belly doesn't fit like it once did.
