We were just in Perry County last weekend.............Sue lost her Grandfather, almost 93 years old, on Dec 26.............and saw many many Sunlines including an old fifth wheel. We were around Landisburg and Loysville. Jon............I know you have the answer........which TT had "Sunline" written in blue and in almost block letters. Sue thought she saw Saturn written on it. Oh BTW.........Happy belated New Year everyone!!! Marshall & Sue

Marshall,

It would be anywhere from '86-'89. If the color of the Sunline name was in a medium grayish blue, it was an '86. If it was a dark navy blue, it was from '87-'89. The distinguishing factor for those three years are the stripes, more specifically the "step up". Either way, the coach would have been no shorter than 13.5' and no longer than 17.5'. The only difference between the '88's and '89's is the side logo size. The '88's had a large logo that's the full size of the striping and the '89's had a smaller one only taking up the top half of the striping.

1986:

1987:

1988:

1989:

Sorry I couldn't give you a more specific answer,
Jon

Jon, Looking at those old '80s and '90s Saturns reminds me of our 16' Sunline that had the 2 bunks in the back with the dinette in the front. After that we had a 24' (I think) quad bunkhouse in the back with dinette in the front. Here's my question though. One of ours was GRAY, not tan or white. What years did Sunline make the gray siding models?

'90-'91 only. The '90's had a striping step up like the '89's, but the '91 had a sun thing like the '92-'94's had.

Pam,

Is this what your 16' looked like?:

That is a 1986 T-1651, built from '83-'85, and it was formerly known as the 16.5' FD when it was introduced in '82. In '86, the official floorplan was removed from print and the full bunks were just listed as "optional" on the base T-1650 model, until the 1650 was deleted from the lineup all together after the 1987 model year. So, if you know it was a Saturn, it would have to be a '86 or '87.

Pam,

Assuming the 24' was gray, I have a feeling that it's the T-2364/T-234, but the dinette isn't exactly in the front. It's got the front half like the 2363, with the dinette on the side sharing the couch for one end of it.

One other note, if yours was a StarRay, this won't help, but if you remember seeing a Solaris name on it anywhere, it was probably a '91, not a '90.

Jon,
Thanks for the detective work. I dug out the old pictures and our stripes & logo match those of the 1987 you have pictured several posts up. When I said it had bunks, that was just how we left it set up, but what we really had was a pull out lounge with a fold down cabinet bunk above. Where the wall of the model pictured above is a full wall, ours was cut out so you could see around to the door. I believe we bought this little gem in the very early spring of 1987 or even the fall of 1986. So, if it's a 1987, as I suspect, it would be a 1650. I'd like to add all our Sunlines to my signature once we figure it out. Then in spring of 1991 we have pictures of our bunkhouse, which based on your post I looked up the brochure and it was indeed a 2364.

Hi Marshall,

Yep, it was a '98 or '99. I didn't realize the one you saw was a newer one. The coach you have pictured is a '99 T-24A, and the only way I know it's a '99 is from the interior, which is Chambray Blue Velour by the way. The '98 Saturns and '99 Saturns look almost identical on the outside.
