Help PLEASE!!!- UPDATED!

OK, so I LOVE my little Que! Here is a list:

The Pros:
I LOVE the Euro styling (most of all! ); yeah, I know, function is function, but I like having cute, 'different' things! It is just the right size, and tows nicely behind our (now dead and soon to be replaced) TV. It has a lot of storage for such a small unit.
The Cons:
The Black tank is small; we don't do much dry camping, but we do some, and have to 'accommodate'. Putting the bed up and down is not a big deal, but if one of us wants to eat, and one sleep, it ain't happening!

Why am I telling you this? WELL....On E-bay ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2001-...em270162055516 )there is a 2001 Advancer Lite 19B foot that looks mint!!!!! http://www.sunlineclub.com/docs/01a.pdf

The Pros:
The floor plan in PERFECT! This is the floor plan I looked and looked for, but could not find in a quality trailer new. It looks clean and well maintained. We could probably make money by selling the Que and buying this. The black tank is way bigger, and it is still in our tow limits. We could sleep another person if needed, and I could take my neices camping (I am dying to do this! !!) And of course, it IS a sunline!
The Cons:
I like my Que. There does not seem to be as much storage inside the unit as in the Que. It has 'regular' styling . It has that funny 'step' in the shower that I am afraid I will trip over. It is in Maine (but, hey what's another excuse to go camping?) The money would be a stretch until we sold the Que.

So what do you think? I love the Advancer floorplan, but I love my little Que too! Who has experience with the Advancer? Any opinions are appreciated!

PS- Jon, Thanks for putting the brochures up on the site. I always wondered why you did that, NOW I KNOW! What a help!!!!!

Morning Kathryn,

I didn't see the 19' Sunline on e-bay, but I did see the one in the link below:

Hi Kathryn I feel your pain. I saw that one on ebay since they email me all Sunline offerings. Our main problem with our QUE is that I get up first and would like a place to sit while DH sleeps. Other than that it's a great little unit. We have all our mods in place, so we have plenty of storage. This weekend we added a shelf in the trash bin cabinet since we never keep the trash in there anyway So, we've decided that we'll keep QUEtSE until we're ready to travel more because we just haven't found anything that makes us excited to sell her. Some of the things we don't really want to give up make it difficult to find a larger replacement - the filon siding, the nice seating area, easy towing, counter space...well you know because you have a QUE! I think all trailers have compromises, and it just depends what you really really consider important. For us, when our kids visit us in a campground, they are all adults and bring their own tents. My guage has been that I ask myself how I feel on the day that I trade in the QUE for the "new" unit. I have to think that I'll be really really excited. So far we haven't looked at anything that makes me say "yep...I'd be thrilled to say goodbye to QUEtSE if I could have that"
Good luck with your decision

Hi Kathryn!

You are faced with the same decision Leo and I had to make, but ours was between the 1950 and the 2499!

We bit the bullet in April and traded in our 2006 1950 for the 07 2499 - we are glad we made the move when we still had the opportunity to get a new Sunline......not that I would not have considered a used unit.

I saw the Advancer 25' and called my daughter to take a ride and look at it, not sure if she and DH have had a chance yet.....that unit looks real clean also....

Good luck in your soul searching....this is a tough decision to make!

I found the Ebay listing, but I had to search for Advancer (not sunline) to see it. For my (kind of girly) perspective....it does have more space, but the storage and the cabinetry are not nearly as "pretty"...the real kicker for me would be the extra sleeping space. That was our one issue with our Que; but then I realized that the chances that our girls would camp with us was pretty slim...and they can always sleep in a tent if that happened!

Kathryn,

Here's the link:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2001-...spagenameZWDVW

I'd say it does look like a very nice trailer, but I don't really have much knowledge of the A-L line to know how they held up or what problems they had with them.

Your statement about "regular styling" is somewhat incorrect. It doesn't have the Euro design of the Que, but it is the taper body design, which is something very rare and to the best of my knowledge, exclusive to Sunline. From a building standpoint, it must have been a real PIA since nothing would have been square, but it really is a great towing design. Since it was probably such a PIA, I think that's why it only lasted for a couple years.

OK, so after much deliberation ( and a lengthy discussion with my non-camping best friend), I think I have made a decision!

While talking to my friend, she stopped me and said, "You know, in the past 20 minutes, you keep saying how cool your curent camper (the Que) is. You must have listed like 30 positive things about it, but you havent really said that much positive about the other camper (the Advancer), other then you like the floor plan."

So I got thinking and went to visit the Que (due to city restrictions, we keep it at my parents house). When I opened the door, I got the same feeling I always get. Whenever I open the door to the Que, I get this "God, I have the cutest, coolest little camper EVER; I love this thing!" feeling instantaneously.

I'm KEEPING MY QUE!!!!!!!!

Now someone here has to buy that reallly great deal of a camper, so I can visit it, and know it went to a good home!

I am SO glad my QUE is in my driveway. I'm always putzing around in it I'm sure my neighbors wonder what the heck I can find to do in there several times a week, but are just too polite to ask. Keeps me from being too anxious to trade up to something bigger! If I could give QUEtSE a big hug I would

Pam - I am envious of you. I wish I had our trailer home all the time with the ability to just putter around with it. It's a PIA having to store it than having a time limit on how long we can have it at the house.

Ditto here. Fortunately, the place I store mine (grandparent's cottage) has a bathroom and electricity, so I could work on it there if I had to. But it's a 1/2 hour drive...
