Heater blower motor and furnace delay

I recently purchased a 1998 Solaris T-2753. Here's the scenario: When the LP and electricity has been turned off (also the thermostat) for any significant period, let's say a week or more, the heater blower motor does not immediately begin running. This may take anywhere from a 1/2 hour to as much as 1 and 1/2 hours. If, however, the LP is left on with the electrical power aand thermostat shut off the heater blower motor begins to run immediately upon restoring electricity and turning the thermostat on. In either case once the blower starts the system runs fine. Is this a normal operation for these? I'm not sure but I think the furnace is an 8500-III.

The lp being on or off will not effect the fan , the 8500 III has a time delay relay, in 7-2001 relay is within the PCB. most likley the issue. we assume battery voltage is good. fan should start with in 20-30 seconds ( gas off or on )
I would also check for 12v + coming thru t-stat , ground on furnace, etc
Hard to check if it's working most of the time

Thanks for the info. I should have mentioned that the trailer was hooked to a 120 line. Also that the furnace did not run separately but did heat only after the blower motor began running.

Hi Hubba,

Congrats on the new camper purchase. You mentioned when everything is turned off but not about everything being turned on. When I turn the LP on I will only open the LP tank valve a quarter to a half turn open. Then I will go inside and open a burner on the stove to allow any air inside the lines to escape. Once the burners are working on the stove I will then turn other LP systems on, one at a time. Opening the stove and bleeding air from the lines will let LP reach other appliances quicker once demand is set. This lighting the stove burner may help your heater heat/light faster.
