Got Snow!

Hi Fellow Sunliners

Central Ohio Checking in

How are you doing with the recent storm? As of 6:00PM we had 8” of heavy white stuff on ground and it still coming down. Forecast is now 12”. I’ll let you know when it stops… No camping this weekend.

I guess one can't trust a ground hog to predict most anything.... It's still winter....

Son closed on his house today. Sold old one, bought new one, same day. Was suppose to start moving in on Sunday. Well maybe….

So what is it like out your way?

Here is what was welcoming me home tonight after work.

John

Up on Grings Hill we have AT LEAST 14" and expecting another 8-12 according to the local news. It always amazes me that we get a little more than our friends that live "down" on the other side of the hill. Hey Kitty...I heard from Berryville this morning at 32" and he says he's expecting to have 3-4 FEET by the end of the day. Hope you're far enough away from there that you're being treated a little better

Metro detroit here. No snow! We have been extremely fortunate this winter. I cannot remember a winter with this little snow.

Once I finish my coffee, I'm headed up to the storage facility to check in on the 5th wheel. Gotta make sure everything is OK. Getting the cover off enough to open the door is going to be a challenge.

Essex Ontario Here;

No snow but lots of wind last night. Have not been outside this AM but soon. We are working on a second sewing table for DW's sewing room. Last year DW bought me a very good snow blower, now why no snow? But now you others in the east get to use your snow machines. I am very glad for you Only 78 calender days until we leave for Henderson Beach State Park FL. That is not long so we just wait and enjoy each day.
The 2499 TT is in our side yard so we go out once in a while and just look and dream.

Berryville is about 20 miles southeast from here. We are now at 30+ inches, with drifts around 5 feet in places...

JohnB: I see your snow and raise you several inches!

Here's Kitty's bus.. It's down in the open area of the yard and I have seen the snow blowing off of it... She didn't have to work yesterday... They canceled school on Thursday.. I still had to work yesterday.. What a fun drive home!

We're sitting here just about a 10 minute walk from Paul and Terri and cannot open the side door into the driveway. Latest forecast is for the snow to continue here until 10 PM tonight with a potential of 30 inches!!

Yesterday the manager of Stoltzfus called Marshall to tell him they would be closed today. Not to worry, we already knew we weren't leaving the driveway this weekend.

Here's a picture of what is left of the 299SR.. The damaged corner of the roof has come down quite a bit. You can even see one of the wall studs has already broken under the weight. Amazingly enough, the trailer is still standing up!

In the first picture that Gary posted of the 5th wheel, look closely and you can just barely see my sons K9 Police Cruiser(a black Durango) that he parked there at 3am this morning.

Well, reset on the number of inches. 18 to 20 pending where abouts one measures.

And no frost in the ground I do not know what is worse with a snow storm, the snow or dealing with the lawn after... I even put swivel wheels on the plow to help as skid bars and they do, for the zillion of pebble stones, but lack of frost in the ground and this much stuff is not fun.

For a kid, this is for sure snow man making stuff…

OK here is a switch - we have NOTHING!!!!!

Now all of you with an abundance of snow - package some up and send it to our snowmobile trail maintenance crews.....I'm sure they'd appreciate it.

Be a kid again - instead of shoveling, blowing or plowing - go our and build a snowman or snow angels.....

Have fun everyone!

That was great!!!

Yes, another report from metro Detroit with nothing new at all. In fact it's very sunny here and I can't see a cloud as far as I can see. Best part is even though the driveway is shoveled, the tracks from where we've driven seem to be melting today, all on their own!

It has been very windy though, even yesterday on my ride home. It still seems to be some, more gusty than anything.

They are calling for some for us on Tuesday/Wednesday here too. Don't know how much though. They said that last Tuesday that it would be a bit of a significant accumulation and in Albion all we got was maybe an inch at the most...

If anyone wants pictures of what a clear, sunny day looks like, I'd be happy to do it, I just don't want to dig it in though...

Jon

Kathy, if I could pack all this white crap up, I'd gladly send it your way. I HATE SNOW !!!!

Jon, go head, just keep rubbing it in about your lack of snow. I will have to try real hard to do a blizzard dance for you, ya know, just so you can enjoy an abundance of the white stuff along with us. I don't want you feeling left out. But, for now, since your snowless, just get in the X, and head on down here and play in our white crap. I'm even pretty sure we have an extra shove, and you can make snow angels, snowmen, snow forts, etc. I sure hope we will be able to get Sunny out by June.

IF we have school on monday, I KNOW my bus won't be rolling, as it's pretty well buried, and diggin it out is NOT on the top of my list.

I need the "Snow Jeanie" to make it dissappear
