Gone for the Weekend, FINALLY !!!!!!

Gary & I are leaving in about 1 hour to meet up with fellow Sunline owners David & Maryann. We will be spending the weekend at Rocky Gap State Park, just east of Cumberland, MD. We will not have our computers with us, so we will be out of touch until we play catchup sunday evening.

Later,

Gary & Kitty

Have fun. I'm jealous since there's few campsites open in New York. This is about the very beginning of the season for us.

Boy I wish we were getting out but we have to wait until next weekend......

Can anyone tell me why it takes 1 day to unload the trailer and get it prepped for winter storage and it takes 2 weeks to get it back in order????? I'm almost there, just stock the pantry and we'll be good to go!!!

Kitty

How is the camping at Rocky Gap? I driven past the park many times but Barb and I have never camped there.

The campground s great! They don't have water and sewer hookups, but "A" loop has electric. All the loops have water spigots, that you can fill your fresh water tank from and a dump station at the park exit.

Are any sites particularly good? It's not too far from a rail trail we want to ride.

The sites all appear to be very very nice, looks like every one provides a nice "private" feel. Each site is outlined with railroad ties and has "pea gravel" ground cover. Large picnic tables and a nice fire ring with an adjustable grilling grate on it. All sites in the A loop have electric, all the other sites are powerless. Water faucets appear to be thoughtfully placed. I think Gary tried to get us a site for later this year in the "A" loop and they were ALL booked up, BUT I think he booked us for May 2012. Park is very nice, so that causes it to be busy, but it was very peaceful. I wish there were more places like this around.

Rocky Gap has been one of our favorite parks to stay at. Actually we are still here.
It was great having fellow Sunny owners here!! We passed out another SOC card to a couple from Maryland with a 2001 slide room bunk model on their way out.
We been taking pictures, and can post some as soon as we get home Thursday evening. The cell service is excellent now. Last weekend they had to turn down the booster to upgrade their equipment.

Right now we are setting outside listening to scretch owls.

Enjoying our Sunny is our favorite thing!!!
