GET WELL WISHES to Stan (Stan47) & Peggy!

Stan & Peggy....just read under a different topic that it was you that had the accident with "Sunline 14 1/2 or is it Sunline 15" (that is what Kitty & Gary are calling it).

Hope you are both on the road to a speedy recovery.

God speed!

JohnB is on a distinguished road
To Stan and Peggy (Stan47) we (John and Cindy) wish you the best and a speedy recovery. And welcome back to posting with us. If there is anything we can do to help you, please ask away. Even though we are in different states, it amazing what us Sunline owners can do to help a fellow camper.

Best Wishes

John and Cindy

Thanks for the concern

Just happened on the threads in the Sunline Community forum that refer to our crash back in October.

First: thanks are in order to everyone who has expressed concern and offered help. Next Thursday 6 December will be my 2-month checkup after the back surgery. The pain is down to something predictable, and I have been back to work a few days a week. The main physical strain of my bugler job is the driving and the standing outdoors during the funeral services. I treated myself to a 12 volt heating pad for the car, and it helps me get through the day, although I still need a lie-down almost as soon as I get home from working.

At the moment, we have no idea whether we will ever be back into RV camping, even though we've been doing it for nearly 20 years. I just can't picture myself towing a trailer again. Although you never know what will happen. We have a jim-dandy parking pad that cost us $24 a square foot to build, and it's a shame to see it vacant...

Our concern at the moment is finding Annie, the dog who went missing after the crash. We are fairly confident she has holed up somewhere, knowing that she has survived on her own before. Why it took until today to come up with this idea I can't say, but I'm going to send flyers to all the gun shops in the counties near the crash site. Since we are now well into deer season, there should be a lot of eyes looking around the woods and fields, and if we are lucky someone will see her. At this point, we'd be relieved even to learn that she'd not survived. We have had dogs go MIA before, but never for this long. I will start a thread here with Annie's photo and description.

Peggy's doing well, except for being depressed over the loss of Annie. She was banged up pretty badly, but nothing was broken.

We got full payment from the car insurance company, although there was no collision coverage on the Sunny, so it was a total loss. Our Good Sam road service policy did reimburse $400 of the tow/storage bill, which was $830 for the trailer alone.

The Suburban was totaled, for less than $8K. We bit the bullet and put some more money next to that, and bought an '08 Chevy HHR. Nice driving little wagon that gets good gas mileage. But what a difference from 7.4 liters to 2.2 liters of engine!

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
