Fridge Vent

Hello every one and welcome to an early spring day;

We just took our 2004 TT 2499 off her winter stands and were wondering about the fridge vent. Ours is quite dark due to age and normal conditions. Does anyone know if it can be cleaned and or if we decided to maybe change it. I would want to do the latter if I did not need to disturb the roof caulk.

Thank you for the help I know we will get.
Happy Camping
Ted

There are four screw holes, in the top of the vent. They should be filled with caulk. Remove the caulk, remove the screws and change her out! Easy job!

My pleasure!

Be sure to re-fill the screw holes with caulk... Water is insidious about finding ways into our Sunlines!

Hi Ted,

See here for what is under there. Camco makes a replacement.

Like Gary stated, you need to put Dicor caulk back in the screw holes to cover over the screw heads or the screws will rust out. Or worse get in the camper...

Good luck.

John

x2 or 3 from what's already been said.

In my experience, there's no way to clean that plastic. If it was worthy, you could try painting it, but I've found it never looks that good and if it needs painting, it's probably too brittle to worry about anyway. Now paining a new one might be a good idea, so the sun doesn't break down the plastic...
