Teach,
Go to the tab on the top of the forum labeled "Files". It is a click-able set of words. Click it.
Go to brochures
Then zoom to 2001. Download a copy of the 2001 brochure and the floor plan shows up there.
Happy camper hunting.
John

Thanks! There's one at a local dealership with a slide. Unfortunately, it has bunk beds ergo a small bathroom (same size as our current trailer).
The 2653 we own has gotten my wife hooked on hauling her efficiency apartment around. She never camped until we married. We went from tent to pop up to the Sunline, and she has decided this is something we will do for the forseeable future (score one for me!)
Now, however, having made that commitment, she wants more space in the living and and bath areas. Not a whole lot more, mind you, we're not looking at 5th wheels. She wants to stay under 29 feet.
If I had a time machine, I'd go back and get a 2005 Solaris T-280SR. It has the easy chair, galley forward design we love in our 2653 with the addition of the full-width bath.
Anyone have one for sale????

Stoltzfus has 2 2007 286SRs on the lot. Seems like you could make a deal at this time of year.

Teach,
Here is a 2005. Those selling it do not know the right model number as they are calling it a 280FKS which is industry for Front Kitchen Slide
Sunline Solaris RV for sale | 2005 Sunline Solaris 280FKS Front Kitchen Slide-out Used Travel Trailer in Galloway, NJ | from RV Dealer White Horse RV Center (Galloway Twp) | RVUSA.com Classifieds
They are listing others as well.
http://www.rvusa.com/rvs/2003/sunlin...ylvania-401654
Here is a 2007 in Roanoke, Don't know if that is close to you or not.
Used 2007 Sunline Sunline RV for Sale in Roanoke, VA - Campers For Sale
A 2007 in Deleware
2007 SUNLINE Solaris T286sr | 2007 Sunline Motorhome in Selbyville DE | 3193619236 | Used Motorhomes & RVs on Oodle Marketplace
This must be one of the ones Pam was talking about
2007 Sunline Solaris Sr Classic T-286, Adamstown PA - 105843762 - RVTrader.com
Looking on Oddle there are a bunch of Sunlines listed. Have to dig and research into them. but ya never know.
Good luck.
John
PS. A loaded T280SR or T286SR has a loaded tongue weight of around 1,200#. They at least have a rear cargo hole under the bed to help offset the heavy front kitchen. With out that the TW can go way up.

Wow, this one has table and chairs and a 1/2 booth bench. Those are Sunline original table and chairs. Never knew they did that.

As always, we're available to give the once over to anything on the Stoltzfus lot if you're serious about a unit.

Oh, man. I have to get Penny to look at these pics.
That's a lot of tongue weight. I'll have to check my hitch specs, also.
We're lining up a look-see at two local dealers for SOBs. I'm sure Keystones and Forest Rivers are reliable brands, but I've been spoiled by Sunlines quality, fit and finish.
I hope we can decide on something right after New Year's.
Thaks for the offer,
Teach

I hear you...that's how we ended up with a Northwood product. Kelly Mobile homes is their only dealer east of the Mississippi, but they do have a couple used ones, and leftovers. Since you're looking at SOBs....just saying....

Teach,
Don't want to make your head spin... but some pointers to look at and for. Our head was about spinning until we walked into a new Sunline and went WOW...
Some of the SOB's have a lot of "eye candy" but lack substance. And they market many different levels of camper. Each level is targeted to a price point. Better materials cost more.
If you go look at one of the 2005 or 2007 Sunlines you where asking about, heads up, you have reset the standard you will be comparing everything else too… That is what will start making the head spin.
Things to look for.
- Do all the windows open? Ways to cut cost is put in windows that do not open.
- How many windows are there? Less windows cost less.
- What is the cargo capacity of the trailer? They can down size the axles and tires to a low cargo capacity and trying to make the TT fit into a class of TV. Some create light weight by actual construction, others just drop the cargo capacity.
- If you are looking new, how many "years" is the warranty?
- Tires and axles, This is a must in my book, make sure the tires and axle can hold the entire GVWR. It is often a cost reduction to install lower rated running gear, let the truck hold part of the GVWR and be able to lower the price.
- Particle board. Most all TT's use OSB board but other use partial board which is even worse. If you are looking at dinettes, lift up the seat cushion. What is the broad made out of and how thick is it? You can become “shocked”
- Open the kitchen draws, what are the side made out of? Furniture veneer board or rough wood?
- The toilet… The newer ones now a days use the China bowl and it helps on cleaning. Again it costs a little more.
- Storage space, There is never enough…. But how much do they have? It costs more to create doors and drawers etc for more storage space.
- The fit and finish, yes if you look you can see this.
The list goes on…
Good luck and happy hunting.
To Tweety's point, Northwood. Nash is a Northwood product as is the Aritc Fox. The Nash is a very nice camper, just not as higher end as the Fox.

I hear you. That's one reason we're looking at used TTs from SOBs (doo-dah, doo-dah). We've gone from "camping" to "touring" in two short years. We are still discovering how to do this extended travel thing. I'm pretty sure this next TT won't be the one that sees us out, so I won't be agonizing over it as if we were buying our dream trailer.
However, if she decides to take a road trip to see a late-model Sunline, that could all change, too.
We're camping for New Year's so there will be much discussion involving our next step around the camp fire.
