Factory bedding or Travasak?

So far we purchased one set of sheets for the short queen in the 2363.

The factory bedspread never wants to stay on the bed and usually in the middle of the night the majority of is on the floor at the foot of the bed.

The basic sheet set from camping world is not the best in the world.

I see some campers raving over their travasak bedding instead of using real bedding.

I am thinking this might keep the spouse and I with covers on us at night but am concerned about how it really work for us.

This would be an expensive experiment for me.

Now as usual I kick off covers and she wants more. Then some time in the middle of the night I yank covers off of her for me. Never ending battle.

I also do not like my feet constrained.

So does anyone use a Travasak for their short queen or ??

mike

Mike - we went to Wally World and bought deep queen sheets on sale......bought a comforter and use that on our bed.

We took off the "camper bedspread" on day one - as you said it never stays on. The comforter matches the interior and you can tuck it in, just like a regular bed.

The deep pocket sheets are because we have a 4" memory foam topper on the mattress.

This works great for us!

I found something similar to the travasack on Amazon. It's by SwissGear and was only $50, and it's wonderful. With the QUE it's a matter of making up a bed every night or using one of these, so IMO there really is no choice. I have washed the sheets and they stayed soft and pill free. (after 1 washing anyway) I was concerned about the feeling confined thing too, but it's fine. We're both pretty small though - 5'4" and 5'7'. One person can unzip their side only to get rid of the blanket if they get hot, and it doesn't effect the other person.

I do not know what a 'travasak' is, but I think I have the same thing as Pam. It is a Sleeping bag with sheets inside (SwissGear also, got it at Bass Pro, I think). My DH and I also have "Thermal differences". The nice thing is that you can zip it down from both sides, so he zips the comforter down on his side and still have the sheet, and I can stay toasty warm under the comforter and sheet on my side. I have washed mine several times, we have had it for about two years (it is left over from our tent camping days!) and I have not had any pilling on either the sheets or the comforter.
It has elastic straps to hold it to the bed, but we don't use them, as we put it away every day. I like it too because the puppy has not figured out how to get inside it, yet!

My wife and I are also thermally challenged so we have extremely different preferences. My opinion, go to Camping World for Camping supplies and a bedding (or department) store for bedding. We use the topper that came with the unit but more as a dust cover and roll it back for sleeping. We keep the sheets and blankets tucked in.
