I can't believe the prices on these parts. I have a 1985 RM2410 fridge and need left and right freezer door spring housings. they are both broken have no idea how or when...small parts,,,all over the internet, they cost from 20 to 40 bucks each!!...crazy

I have a RM2410 and had the same problem. Was able to remove the hinges and wind enough tension on the springs for the door to stay closed, however I don’t think it’s the same tension as when new.

I hear what your saying about the price of parts. Cost me $30 to replace the spring loaded latch on the front door handle which is a tiny piece of plastic with a tiny spring. We actually broke that part twice and realized it happens while trying to open the door immediately after closing it. It creates a vacuum like those high dollar SubZero refrigerators.

Wow, that does seem high. I'm thankful parts like these are still available though. It's pretty impressive that you can still buy parts for a 35+ year old RV component, when so much of it has long been obsoleted.

thanks for the responses, it is neat that stuff is still available. I took these out to clean the fridge without the door on. I unscrewed the door originally but the way it's configured you can't get the tension on without pulling out the spring housings. these were all broken when they were pulled out. just a little insight on another rv adventure.
