Do I need a cover?

My dear old Mom and Dad have offered to let us park out little Que at the side of thier house . However, the spot is right under some 'sappy' pine trees and the like . I have heard that covering the RV in not wise, as it needs to "breathe". How do I keep the sap and 'junk' off the Que?

I guess others here don't use covers . I personally wouldn't encourage the use of a tarp, but I would support use of a breatheable RV cover. I have used one that has a tarp material on top and on the ends, but a breatheable material on the sides. If you choose to keep it uncovered, make sure you clean the roof VERY often. I think a cover would be a better use of your time- take it off and go. That way, you wouldn't have to make a point of cleaning the roof all the time.

Hopefully others will offer their opinions!
Jon

This was my solution: http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/...44476533Kjbkjj

Sorry it's a link and not a photo, but I don't know how to put a photo in here. It's 14W x 28L , with 9' tall legs. I have plenty of height for roof A/c, vents, etc. It cost me $1339.80 installed.

With the cost of those RV covers Kitty's idea is fantastic. I had no idea you could erect one of those so inexpensively. I'm sure it will last alot longer than a cloth cover too. I also have to comment on the Sunny...what a BEAUTIFUL trailer LOVE the roof, twin beds and lack of carpet. When we bought a bunkhouse in the '90s we had them eliminate the carpet too...best mod we ever did.

Hmm.. Thanks for the thoughts. I don't think that my Mom and Dad would let me put any sort of 'structure' in thier driveway. (They live in a fancy-schmancy neighboorhood where things like that just don't happen! ) I am pushing my luck with the Camper as it is!

We have always covered our campers with a breathable rv cover (around $200-$300). In the Northeast we get a lot of snow and ice. The cover keeps that melting snow off the roof if there is a small leak. It also keeps falling branches off the roof and it is easy to clean up.
