Debbie,
I may be able to help on how to save the Slide room decal.
This works very well on flat fiberglass panels. Like the front rock guard, the side cargo doors etc. It sadly does not work well on the aluminum corrugated siding. In fact I recommend not trying it on corrugated siding. Mine did not last.
A little over 4 years ago I saved several decals from death not far off. They are still today in pristine shape and I expect for many more years.
See this post,

My front and SR decal was about to die totally. There was heavy curl on them even. I first cleaned with acetone or alcohol the left over dirty adhesive on the fiberglass panel where the decal peeled up. Heads up. Do not use acetone on aluminum siding, fiberglass doors are OK. Siding, no, it will take the paint off.
Then with a hair dryer gently warmed the peeling decal and press it back down flat. It will stick back down for a short time. Then I used clear auto chip guard, (helicopter tape) over the entire decal and about 1" onto the panel. Now no issues.
Don't touch a peeling decal without warming it or it will crack right off.
Hope this helps
John
