Crazy weather

Took a trip to Promised Land State Park this past weekend, and the weather was absolutely crazy. Friday was beautiful, shorts and t-shirts. Saturday morning the rain came down in buckets, then got very windy. Weather station said sustained winds of 30mph with gusts near 55. Had the awning out all day, and staked down as always, but when the weather station said the heaviest winds would be Saturday night, I didn't want to chance it so I put the awning up. Only the 3rd time in 4 years I've been uncomfortable enough to put it up. 55mph gusts were almost pulling the stakes out of the ground. Sunday morning woke up to light snow and wind chills in the teens Guess it could've been worse, the people at the other end of the loop had tents.

Mike, Roz.....

I can't remember any 30-day period in which we've had such a complete extreme range of weather as we've just had....from sub-freezing to 90s!

Interestingly the record hich for May 10th in Camp Hill, PA is 95 F and the record low is 32 F. In the spring temperatues can vary dramatically from day to day.

Last week at this time I switched from heat to AC. Now we are back to running the heat.

It has been crazy here in Rhode Island too. In the last week we have had mid 80s for a high one day to 50 for a high. Sunday looked like a hurricane. Tonight is frost warnings so a bunch of plants are spending the night indoors.

Yes the weather here has been strange as well. Saturday was cold, mid 40’s and windy although not as windy as Mike and Roz had seen.

Sunday and this AM we woke to frost on the ground too.

For the next 3 days we are suppose to get heavy rain.

Just like this past winter was a roller coaster, it seems it continues into Spring as well.

Mother Nature will have her way and that will be that… Just wish it would be more normal what ever normal is now a days….

We were also out last week-end, and encountered the same weather conditions. Awning up, heat on, and everything else lashed down.
