Today BenB and I brought home our latest Sunline to add to the collection. I am calling this camper “Project Camper no. 2”. It is a 2004 T2475 with the Nutmeg interior color scheme. The opportunity sort of presented itself and I acted on it.
Yes, this will be a Project Camper as it will an require an amount of work surrounding several areas of water infection repair. I expect it will take me approx. 6 to 8 months of hobby time to complete the project once started for what I have in mind. We have a good amount of camping planned this year with our T310SR and I have Camper Project no. 1 (the T1950) still on going so the major work on the T2475 will most likely not occur until this coming winter time. The inside is in good shape making it a very good restoration project and I’m looking forward to it. Yes, some of us really get into repairing these kinds of things…
We bought the camper from a fellow forum member who was very forthcoming with the condition of the unit and went above and beyond helping us come prepared so our trip back home was successful. He told us of the history of the certain water problems he inherited which were not disclosed when he bought it. We have become good friends from this camper.
The round trip was a little over 1,300 miles and we were able to camp 2 nights in the camper on the way home. This was Great!!! Our first 2 camping nights of 2018. Yeh!
We stayed the first night at KOA near Delaware Water Gap, PA. Here are a few pics.
The second night we stayed at West Branch State Park in eastern Ohio. Sunday morning we woke up to it snowing out… Winter just does not want to seem to leave… Here are a few pics from West Branch.
Here is the camper when we made it home
And since I know we like pics’s….here are some of the inside.
The mid camper galley and living area
The front bedroom. Has 3 natural light windows 2 of which open for good cross ventilation.
The large rear bathroom.
When the time comes, I will create a repair post on Project Camper no. 2.
Thanks for looking.
John
