Bulb Type?

I was considering replacing the interior wall globe bulbs with LED's....however I've tried removing several with no luck. Tried twisting, push and twist, and strong language! I didn't want to tempt fate and break the glass and fish out the base with needle-nose pliers.
Does anyone have the secret code??

What year trailer and which fixtures?

Most of the bulbs are simple twist or pull straight out. They're standard automotive style bulbs.

Perhaps a pic of the problematic fixture and bulb would help.

Hi Phil,

The "clues" you gave... "wall", "Globe" and then you did not want to "break the glass"...

Unless the prior owner did some modifications, does the fixture look "similar" to this? This is from a 2004 camper and your 2007 has a different flask I think but the bulb may be the same.

If your fixture looks like mine, you can see the socket in the bottom. They are push in straight and pull out straight, and yes, there are times when they get stuck. The flood lights are push and twist with 2 tangs on the side

PS. There is a way in your "user CP" (User Control Panel, see the top left of the screw in small letters) to add a signature, and in that you can put your camper model number and year. Truck too if wanted and even a cool pic. Then we know which camper you have. I just happened to remember since you had the bed post with the year and model.

Do make that conversion to LED lights They use 10% of the power & last a lifetime. Required equipment if you plan to boondock & pay for a few w/ campground fees you save

Thanks all for the great advice....it looks like the conversion is a definite go. The current plan is campground near the Jersey shore during the summer months. Come fall I plan to boondock as often as I can so battery life will be key.

It won't matter for these lights, but you mention a 286SR above and a 289SR in your profile. Those are two different models- which do you have? 286SR is a front kitchen/rear bedroom, 289SR is a front bedroom/rear living room with two chairs in the very back.

Thanks for catching that .... In my haste I fat fingered the model type and knocked a couple feet off at the same time!! My profile is correct It's definitely a 289SR.
BTW, the two chairs in the rear you mentioned are really comfy!!

Sweet! Yes, assuming you have the original chairs still, they are very comfortable! I bought one for my 286SR this past summer since the floorplan didn't have one.
