Baltimore area campgrounds?

Does anyone know of any campgrounds you would recommend in the Baltimore county area?
Thanks,
Rich

Very Slim Pickings in Baltimore County

Morris Meadows in Freeland (off I-83 near PA line) is the only one I know of in Baltimore County.

http://www.morrismeadows.us/

Ramblin Pines is in Woodbine, Howard County (West of Baltimore, Near I-70 and MD 97)

http://www.ramblinpines.com/

Capitol KOA in Millersville, AA County (South of Baltimore, Near I-97 and MD32)

http://www.capitolkoa.com/

Bar Harbor RV Park in Abingdon, Harford County (Northeast, Off I-95)

http://www.barharborrvpark.com/

That pretty well covers the Baltimore Metro Area. The Millersville KOA is only one I've stayed at. Nice, but some sites are small in the wooded areas.

There's also Susquehanna State Park, but it's only open for camping from May until Labor Day.

Rich,

We stayed at the Capitol KOA in Millersville a couple of times.
Nice campground - located half way between Baltimore and DC which made it easy to get to both places. It's also not what I would consider a rural campground. But it's a good campground to use as a home base for site seeing.
We liked it because we were there site seeing and visiting family in Baltimore. So it was convenient and we really weren't at the campground much.
Just wanted to share our experiences. What your plans are may be different that ours were, so you have to take that into consideration.

Hutch

Sorry for the delay Hutch,
I'm going to call Morris Meadows CG tomorrow since they are closest to where our daughter has a dance competition she'll be attending next weekend. We try to squeeze in as many camping trips as we can and this time of the year is always busy with other activities.
Thanks,
Rich

We enjoyed our stay at Morris Meadows CG in Freeland Maryland this past weekend, read my review in the Mid-Eastern section of the Campground Reviews topic on this site.
