1987 Saturn T1350

Hello Forum,

This is my first post as a new member.

We recently purchased an '87 Saturn T1350 for $1,000. It's VERY clean inside and in good condition overall - we are currently having the wheel bearings replaced; it sat for two years.

We were having a problem getting all the marker lights to work, the one turn signal was out and no brake lights either. I replaced all the bulbs after a good contact cleaning and got some results on markers, but still no brake or signals.

Questions:

I'm new to trailer camping and am no electrician. Any suggestions? What's a good way to fix the ground wire so it connects properly to the tow vehicle? There's no connector on the end.

What is a good price to pay for this particular camper? Did I make it into the ballpark at $1,000?

Does the roof need to be re-coated or sealed somehow? It doesn't leak and looks pretty good, but I'm no real judge.

Anything at all I should know about this particular model?

MUCH thanks!

Welcome to the group and wonderful world of Sunline ownership. Finally another Sunline owner not TOO FAR from me, about an hour.

The guys will be along shortly to help you with some of your questions.

Make sure you check out the thread for the Sunline Meet n Greet in June, maybe something you could attend, and just a warning, we'd love a tour of your 1350

Kitty

Welcome to the group. The first thing you may want to try is taking a test light and checking the wiring on the rear of your vehicle. Take a look at the wiring diagram for the pigtail receptical on your tow vehicle and check each function. Here is a link to a diagram. http://www.farmbox.com/images/7WayTrailerEnd.jpg
It could be just a blown fuse in your tow vehicle. I've done that before. I backed the boat into the water without disconnecting the lights. I didn't think about it, at least till the next time I towed the coach and some of the lights didn't work. Good luck.

Thanks - That's good practical info. I'll check fuses and look at that pigtail schematic.

Proceeding with all advice.
