Wow, is that by odd chance a snake skin? That heater area looks just like my 2004 T317SR, just less the possible crawling left over.

The heater must of been full of water. I have never seen one crack that high up the tank. Many times, the bottom blows out.

Yes it is a snake skin, he has been all over the camper. I first spotted a couple plies of poop in the bed room wasn’t sure what it was at first. then found the first skin Approximately 4 to 5 ft long under the couch. The roof had at least 10 lbs of nut shells in several places , so I think he joined the buffet. When I pulled the roof off every piece of insulation had been tore up by rodents. He followed them. I removed all the insulation and found one more poop by the speaker in the main bed room. He did some traveling. Can’t wait to see what I find under the trailer.

Oh man, a traveling snake. Yuk.

I must say, I never ran into one of them in a camper before, yet anyway.

I have run into and hit an active large black ant situation. Some variety in the carpenter any family. That was bad, the rear wall was wet and they were thriving in there. They seems to like to nest near the 120 VAC electrical outlets. Something about flowing current in a wire, ants are attracted to.

Every piece of insulation I pulled out I had to watch carefully I did not have visitors come with it. Went through many cans of ant spray on that camper.

Good luck with your camper repair. Would be great to see some of your project. Consider making a post in the Repairs and Maintenance forum. We all always learn something from repairs like this.

John
