driving visibility
I'm a new owner (1st time) of a 1997 Solaris. I discovered on my way home from picking it up how difficult it is to see who is traveling behind me. How do you experienced trailer haulers handle the visibility problem?

Hi and welcome !! Many (most) of us have special towing mirrors. Our Dodge did not have them and it was our first investment for the truck.

Congrats on the camper!
I just bought my 1st camper this year and I looked at many different mirrors and I like these the best JR Products I have the grand aero set

 Thanks for the info. We're practice camping in our driveway, but I want to put a mirror on before we hit the road.

Newmar, I think you'll find the two you've seen posted here are pretty good with little vibration when traveling. I found the mirrors that have rubber straps had vibrations that made it hard for me to use them. And they didn't extend as far as others.
You will for sure want mirrors that are steady, easy to install, view and remove when not being used. Being able to see the road behind you and the side of the camper will help keep an eye on tires and the cops if they catch you speeding.

Before ordering make sure the price includes right and left units. Even if it is $40 a mirror $80 for a good set isn't so bad.

I use a camera similar for hitching up and I found it to be easier with the camera mounted looking down on the ball. I can park the trailer connector on top of the ball everytime, first time.
I haven't used it for backing,yet, since I will have to run power to the back of the camper since mine is a tag mounted wired in unit, not wireless. I so hate buying batteries.
