Red face 2001 Sunline T1950 Air Conditioner Housing

I am trying to find out what air conditioning housing to buy and where to buy it. My RV is a 2001 Sunline T1950. The RV store told me to send them the serial # of the A/C unit, but there is nothing on the A/C showing me that information, it is all worn off. Does anyone have any idea ??

Do you have an owner's manual binder with your trailer? If it's complete, that serial number should be in there.

No, I don't have the owners manual.

This is the manual for the ducted version, used on Sunlines 24' and up. I'm not sure the differences between a shroud for a ducted vs. non-ducted, if any.

Sunline Coach Owner's Club - Sunline Owner's Files - DuoTherm AC Manual

The reason I asked about a manual is because Sunline included a handy form in there that they wrote out all the appliance model numbers and serial numbers on, so it was a quick access. Unfortunate that you don't have that.

I will have to do some digging to see if I have info on what model A/C you'd have. It has to be on a sticker on the unit somewhere, maybe if you remove the air filter housing inside and look up inside there with a flashlight? Otherwise you might need to remove the shroud (or what's left of it) on the roof.

Manuals for all Dometic A/C units, once you figure out the model number, are available on Dometic's website: http://www.dometic.com/manuals/

JohnB is on a distinguished road
Yours is a non ducted AC unit. But that should not affect the roof unit shroud.

If you take the inside grill cover off on the cieling where you change/clean the foam filter, remove the filter and look up. There is a white sticker with the model and serial number of the roof unit and the inside air box and control unit. The roof unit sticker is the one you need and it would be way up high at the roof line. That is the model/serial number you need.

A dealer who handles Dometic parts can help.

Or you cane go to IconDirect and get them. I bought mine from them and very pleased. Better warranty then the original and good quality. Made in Canada. They sell direct from their site or on Amazon

Hope this helps

John
