find the differences competition #4
Jeremy has been at it again. Here is the second set of changes. The original 15 changes have been undone and there are now 10 different ones.
WARNING: this is harder than the previous one.
Get your magnifying glass and enjoy!

Hi Dona
Having technical difficulty. The pics are not coming thru with the formant you are using. This is all I see, I put it in quotes.
"[img] [/img]"
Go into photo bucket and just pick the IMG selection. Copy and paste that command string here. Photo bucket will bring along the IMG commands for you.
Thanks
John

That's very odd... From the first time I viewed this post, I could see the pictures. Kitty was also unable to view them in the post, so I emailed her a link to them.
Here's the link:

And the pic:

Yes now I can see. You posted them using different code then Dona. I checked the properites of your post and they are correct.
The forum does not like any other format well.

Gary, even odder. I checked the site "not" logged in. I can see the pic I log in and I "Can not" see the pics... . Seems if we use straight img commands starting with http and ending in .jpg it works in all cases. Some day we will figure out what the issue is.

I wonder what the possibility of upgrading to vBulletin would be... That software seems to be much better and more well-suited to our needs....

John, Gary and Kitty, welcome to game #4.
First of all, thank you Gary for fixing the pics so they can be viewed.
I will send a PM letting you know status of your findings so that others have a chance play.
There are still more changes not yet mentioned. John, there are only 10. I will explain in PM.
Dona

I know I am getting "of-topic" here but vBulletin requires a fee. I would suggest MyBB which is free http://www.mybboard.net/. I have used it for a recycle forum for our church.
... now back to head scratching ...

OK Dona,
So, where do we stand with what has been found ?
Like when looking at JohnB's submission, what IS or isn't the actual changes.
I like this challenge, not sure if keeping "found" changes in Pms' is the way to go though.

Kitty, Dona and all
Kitty brings up a good point. Now that this has expanded into a sub forum section…. Maybe se can setup some guidelines on how to do this over the web.
Here are some random thoughts that “might” work. Other encouraged to expand, comment, add, subtract, etc.
1. A Game host keeps creates the game and keeps track of it thru it’s life cycle until the game is over. Anyone can be the game host. The host will create the 1st post and present the game and any rules if any on how to do it.
Once posted, Let the games begin…..
2. Once someone finds something, like in this search and seek kind of game, players post what they find. The game host then comes along and states which ones are correct, and how many are still left to find. The host may award Sun Points for each correct answer. If they choose to, they can even get carried away and award Snow points for wrong answers that subtract from Sun points. I know I’m in severe camping withdrawal right about now….
3. When all things are found, then the game host declares the game is over and 1st place, 2nd 3rd etc or how ever goofy thing they want to do.
To maybe help even this out for playing time, on each post a player can only identify up to X items at one time. If there are 50 items then maybe up to 5 at a time etc. The host declares the rules when it is posted. The player then cannot post more until more X things are correctly found or until the host acknowledges them and some time length of inactivity or wrong answers or other something else has gone by. The length between posts thing is something that will have to sort it self out. It can even be as whacky as only 1 post from a member of one state or even a county within a state or country for that matter…(Ah,) can post until another state or county member posts. And this does not mean folks in the back ground cannot PM each other giving them answers to post to break it loose again. Since it is the hosts game, they can make yup their one rules.
I will do up one of these search and seek campsite things, but I have to experiment a little first.
Or we have no rules and it is a free for all….

Hello everyone,
This game has been at a bit of a standstill. I was thinking that some changes need to be made in how it is run. Kitty and John must have been reading my mind, as some of their suggestions are the same things I was thinking.
As you know, I went a little crazy listing so many changes on competition #3 then felt guilty that there weren't many left for others to find. That is why I went the PM route. That doesn't seem to be working right either, since it would seem that each player needs to find all changes (and my mailbox will be full). Therefore, I will post response to all guesses.
There does need to be a limit on the number of "finds" a player can post at one time. So far on this game, there have been 5 correct guesses. For the remainder, I think that finds should be limited to 3 per post. Each person will be limited to 1 post per day.
I'm sorry I can't award any prize other than "attaboy/attagirl", though I'd really like to send everyone some sunshine and warm temps.
The correct findings so far are:
1. the rear door window is larger
2. reflection of person's legs in side of bed added
3. the oils spots under the rear of the truck have been removed
4. front bumper valance removed
5. rear door enlarged
To be fair to others, the following are explainations of other spots John marked:
graphics in 3 spots - I gave him credit for the rear door enlargement (#4 above)
no change to door handle
no change in rearview mirror area
***he was very close on the next two***
there is something near the tailpipe but the tailpipe itself has not been changed
he has a circle on the rear window. I think it is the light/shadow which is an unintended affect of a change that is very nearby.
I hope you will continue looking for the remaining changes. Good luck and have fun!
Dona
