I know what you mean. Before spell check I spent a lot of time scraping whiteout off the screen.

But...............the amazing thing is that you can still read it. There is a convention I followed that allows your brain to still see the words.

I was just thinking GE Schenectady and yup I was right. They use to be a really good customer of ours. I say use to be as we, The V & O Press Co, went under in mid 80's and then bought out, they went out, reorganized again and I think still selling spare parts for all the presses from the late 1800's. I remember very well doing the automatic feed systems for the motor armatures and stator lamination's. Back then, along with many other NY corps where moving things out of NY and heading down south. Owensburg KY was one of the places many our presses moved to.

Strange I can still remember the job order numbers for the 1st 5 arm feeder system we ever developed for GE Schenectady. It would de-stack the rotor blanks, orient the blank, punch a keyway, then index to the notching press, at a 1,000 strokes a minute punch out the slots for the wires one at a time (punch and index) and index the punched rotor lamination out of the press to the discharge station. ... why do I keep that tid bit of info in my head when right now it is getting harder to remember what I did yesterday...

The secret to being able to read this:

Our brains are familiar with the words and all we need to see is the first and last letter in the correct place and we put the rest together.

I think we get selective in what we want to remember. At my age the storage capaciry ia about full and I have to delete something to bring in something else.
